Tickle monster

I wake up to the smell of bacon and eggs, on a sunny Monday morning. Birds chirping, wind blowing just enough for the leaves to move a little. Today is already a perfect day. I slowly get out of my bed sliding my foot onto the cool flooring of my room. I quickly slide my morning robe on and open my door to see my little sister standing at my door ready to kick it.

"It wouldn't open for me!" She says. " I started by saying may you please open? And it didn't do it, I got mad like mommy does when I don't put my dolls away and I said open up now please and thank you! And it still didn't open! we need to get a new door Kat Kat!" She yells.

And here is the part of my day when I have to teach Lily something... Lily's my 4 year old sister, she's 100% adorable, but she's not always the smartest little girl in the world.

"Morning Lily! And Lily we've been over this... doors don't open by themselves, that's why they have a knob so WE can open them." I laugh. 
" Oh! But last time when I knocked and said open it opened?!" She replies. 
"That was me opening my door from the inside! I heard someone knocking so I opened it." I explain. 
"Oh okay! Anyway, Mom made breakfast Kat Kat! She made bacon!" Lily yells with joy
"Okay I'll be down in a minute... save me some food okay, Lils?" I ask
"Okay," she yells as she runs downstairs.

Lils is my nickname for lily. Kat Kat is her name for me. I'm Katherine, 15 year old who dreams about going into university and being famous! But it's not as easy as it sounds.

"KATHERINE!!!!"

I quickly snap back into reality, I hear someone yelling

"KATHRINE! HELP ME!"

I quickly realize that the screams are coming from Lily all the way downstairs.

"KATHERINE, PLEASE HURRY! HELP ME!" She screams.

I sprint down the stairs still in my robe, I can't figure out what room lils is in!

"KATHRINE HELP!" Lily screams.

She must be around the corner in the kitchen, I quickly sprint around the corner just to find Lily on the ground being tickled by Jake.... our older brother.

"HELP KATHERINE!" she giggles, "HE WON'T STOP!"

You've got to be kidding me right! I sprint down the stairs thinking something awful is happening, and what do I find... Lily being tickled by my stupid brother!

"Help me Kathrine!" She giggles again.

I quickly push my moron of a brother off Lily and I grab Lily ready to walk back upstairs with her when mother walks in, damn i'm in so much trouble.

"Katherine Ann Blake, get over here this instant!" My mother says sternly

"Yes, mother?" I ask shyly

"Why are you dressed so very unappropritly!?"

"Because Jake was..."

"DON'T YOU DARE BRING YOUR BROTHER INTO THIS CONVERSATION! HE HAS DONE NOTHING TO YOU KATHERINE, NOTHING! SO STOP BLAMING HIM FOR YOUR FOOLISHNESS!" Mother yells.

"But mother it's true Jake..."

"NOT ANOTHER WORD!" She takes a deep breath, "now go back up those stairs and go put something more appropriate on," she tells me sternly.

I march up stairs ready to kill my stupid "perfect" brother! But I know that i'll only get myself into more trouble. So I quickly get dressed take a minute to calm myself and then slowly head back downstairs to my family. I was wrong, today is not going to be perfect it going to be long, very very long.
