School was never fun for Tom. To him it was just a bother. The lunch food was crappy, the teachers were assholes, and the classes were either hard or boring.

Tom walked into his classroom late as always while the teacher scolded him but he didn't pay attention. So he just plop his ass down in his seat near the window that was next to Matt.

Tom turned to Matt who was admiring himself through his pocket mirror since the teacher took his bigger one.

"Hey matt." Tom whispered.

"What?" Matt answered back a bit loudly. Tom just frowned and told him to hush.

"Where's Edd?" Tom asked. "He's got a hangover from the epic party we had yesterday. Eduardo spiked his drink. You should've came Tord was there." Matt said putting his mirror away and started fiddling with his hair.
Tom just gave him a confused look.

"Who the hell is Tord?" Tom said in confusion and everyone turned to him.

"Who's Tord!?" A girl in the back yells out. "He's like the coolest guy in this school!" Some guy yells across the room. "And the hotest~" a group of girls say while giggling.

"You know he's sitting right behind you right?" Matt says as he points to him.
Tord had his headphones on looking out the window not even acknowledging the conversation going on around him.

When Tom turned around to look at him Tord looked up at him and smiled.

"What?" Tord spoke as he took off his headphones.

"You're Tord right?" Tom asked.

Tord shook his head yes. "Nice to make an acquaintance." Tord said sticking out his hand expecting Tom to take it and shake his hand. But Tom just looked at it and back at him.

"Yeah whatever." Tom just turned back around in his seat as everyone was in shock even Tord but simple things like this didn't bother him much, so he just shrugged his shoulders and placed his headphones back on his head and continued to look out the window.

A few hours passed by and Tom found himself walking to the cafeteria where he found Matt sitting at their signature table.

Tom went over to him sitting down next to Matt then he pulled out his phone.

"You're not going to eat?" Matt asked

"No I ate last period. My teacher was actually nice enough to buy us all pizza because we all passed our test." Tom said scrolling through his phone.

"Aw lucky" Matt was slightly jealous but he quickly got over it.
Matt had finally got up to head towards the lunch line. "Hey you want anything like a drink? I got extra money." Tom just shook his head no, not looking up from his phone and Matt was off to get some food while flirting with some girls on the way.

"Hey Thomas is it?" A voice said sitting across from him.
Tom looked up to see who the voice belonged to and he just sighed.

"What?" Tom said kind of annoyed.

"I was wondering if you'd like to go out?" Tord spoke leaning back in the chair.

'Wow that was straightforward.' Tom thought.

"U-uhh..." Tom muddered out confused.

"N-not like a date I just want to get to know you. You seem cool." Tord said giving a nervous smile.

"No... Sorry?" Tom felt awkward in this situation for some reason.

"Why not?" Tord asked.

"Im not big on hanging out or going out in general so I mostly just stay at home by myself."

"Come on please Its going to be just us. No crowds no loud music just us. Promise." Tord was really trying here and Tom could see it so he frowned and sighed.

"I'll think about it..." Tom was unsure well since he'd just met this guy and he's already trying to be his friend. He thought it was kind of weird but then again it might be fun as long as huge crowds were out of the question.

"Alright well heres my number so when you finally decided just send me a text." Tord said pulling out a pen and paper writing down his phone number handing it to Tom.

"See ya Tommy" Tord said flashing him a grin and then taking off.
Tom blushed slightly at the nickname. He hadn't heard anyone call him that since elementary school.

When Tom was lost in thought Matt came back.

"Hey Tom... Hey whats that?" He asked looking at the paper Tord gave him and Tom quickly balled it up and shoved it in his pocket.

"Nothing special just garbage." He said staring off into the distance.

"Oh okay~" Matt said before shoving mystery meat into his mouth and telling Tom what happened the night before since he missed out.
