Nine elders quietly descend upon the deepest bowels of earth. They have every reason to be quiet for the deed to be done is nothing less than a celestial murder. Each is absorbed with one's thoughts.
"Each day might be the end of mankind. The only way left to get the answers we so long soughtis murder ."
"I have been waiting for this."
"The leader will surely be the one to commit the deed."
"Is this the will of the Heavens?"
"What will become of us after this?"
"Do you panic, Alaris?"
Their thoughts went on and on until they arrived in the most important cell both in heaven and earth. They were expecting a prayerful figure asking for mercy or a panicky creature even, but all their thoughts and expectations did not prepare them to see an empty and long abandoned cell.
Betraying no emotions at all, the elders merely looked at the abandoned prison.
"Find Alaris," Croe commanded almost in a whisper.
