I knew a boy

I will not say his name

Because drawing his memory

Will only draw the rain clouds out,

-

I knew a boy

His smile was the biggest

His eyes were the brightest

But his demons were the worst

-

I knew a boy

Who reached his limit

As anyone would

He eventually succumbed

-

I knew a boy

Who had his parents witness their child die,

Before they passed away

Burying their baby boy

-

I knew a boy

I know him no more

The last I saw of him,

They closed the casket

It was a gloomy day

To know a boy

Who did not

Wish to be known.
