Chapter 9

"Emma, would you do I this honor and be my girlfriend?"

I froze when I heard those words. Am I dreaming? Wake up Emma! I mentally shouted at myself.

Liam, still kneeling in front of me, almost started losing hope. I didn't know what to say or do. I was so mesmerized.

"I...I..." those were the words that I only managed to say.

Before I knew it, I jumped into Liam in a tight hug. And I felt so protected when he hugged me even tighter.

"Your mine right Liam?" I said with so much happiness.

"Forever and always." he replied making my cheeks turn red as a tomato.

"Awe!" Alex and Sam finally said.

"I'm so happy for you Emma. She is all grown up." Sam said trying to imitate my mom.

"Congrats Man." Alex fist pumped Liam.

"Hurry up guys. Get in!" I yelled at the guys.

"Stop with the yelling already. We're coming" Alex said looking annoyed. It only made me laugh at the way his face became.

Liam came into the car and gave me a small peck on the forehead.

"Morning beautiful." I couldn't help it but blush.

"Morning...hum. Liam" really Emma, really,

He laughed. "I get it Emma, it's your first time in a relationship right?"

I simply just nodded my head.

"So, it's perfectly fine to act this way. I don't mind 'cause I know that one day, you're going to open up. "

"Liam?" I said almost whispering.

"Yes Emma?"

"Promise to never hurt me." I said while looking out the window.

He held my hand and intertwined our fingers before saying, "I promise."

With that, we started our journey back home which was an hour drive.

"Baby, baby, baby oh! I'm like baby, baby, baby, and noo! Thought you always be mine!" Sam and I sang our lungs out when we heard Justin Believer's song in the car radio.

"Will you guys please stop singing now? My ears are going to bleed from all that!" Alex said pointing at us.

Liam only smiled and looked up at me while Sam and Alex started quarrelling.

After dropping Sam and Alex at a café (That's where they wanted to go.) Liam stopped the car in front of my house. Before I could open the door, he ran outside and opened my door for me.

What a gentleman.

"I'll see you soon." He said and pecked my cheek.

I squeezed the pendant he gave me earlier and I nodded to him.

I bid him goodbye and watched as he slowly drove off. When I turned around, my heart skipped a beat when I saw a black 2015 Escalades with tinted windows parked in front of the house.

I heard noises coming from the house and it was a sign of joy.

I knew it would only mean one thing...

I slowly opened the front door and tears filled my eyes.

"Dad?"
