"You better rest that head of yours." We hear Mumu say.

Penelope and I are leaning on the door of my room. We hear Mumu and Dada heading back into their room.

"Vivian, I gotta wait to make sure they are gone. Penelope says as she's walking over to the same window as before.

"Look!" she gasps. "Chloe just entewed the poowl houwse!"

"What?" I say astonished. I dash over to the window, just in time to see Chloe duck into the pool house.

"We gotta go see what she's dowing!" Penelope exclaims. She grabs my arm and nearly drags me out the door.

"Wait... Are you sure this is a good idea? I ask hesitantly.

"It's onwy Chloe." she says. Then she adds, "I got woor back."

"Well... Owkay." I say quietly. After all, its only Chloe.

We are standing in front of the pool house, debating who should open the door.

"I should owpen the doow 'cause it's MY houwse." I say.

"Wew, it was MY idea to come hewe." Penelope shoots back.

The door flies open.

"Penewope! Vivian! Hewp me!" Chloe shrieks. She falls to the floor and tries to crawl out of the pool house, but she is dragged back in by something.

"Chloe!" both me and Penelope cry out.

Oh no. What's happened to Chloe? Nothing bad I hope... That would be horrible! What if something does happen? I should still of been her friend.. Am I a bad person?

We dash into the poolhouse and see Chloe standing up from the floor. Strangely, she doesn't seem to be scared or hurt.

I hear a quiet click behind us. I whirl around. A blonde lady had just locked the door.

"Who-who awe woo?" I ask fearfully. "W-why awe woo hur-hurting Chwoe?"

"We aren't hurting Chloe." A deep voice says, the sound filling the room.

I jump and whirl around again, this time, facing a tall man with what appears to be brunette hair tied back into a ponytail. His deep green eyes seem to be piercing my soul. I expect him to be mean, so I'm taken aback when he kneels down and asks me softly, " What's your name cutie?"

"Uhhh..." I say, still shocked and surprised.

"Awww she's so cute. I want her. She's my baby now. My daughter." The blonde lady flips me around. "Your name is Alice now, okay?"

What?

"No, my name is-" I try to explain, but she cuts me off.

"Honey, I know that you're upset about your parents abandoning you, but we are your parents now, and you have a sweet sister named Chloe! Isn't that great?"

No, that isn't great! My name is not Alice! What does she mean? Mumu and Dada didn't abandon me. Why is she trying to make up stories about me?

"Who awe woo?" I pull away from the blonde lady.

"They awe my pawents..." Penelope says softly. I had nearly forgotten that Penelope was there.

Penelope repeats her sentence. "They-they awe my mumu and dada."
