"Why she ain't at his daughter party then" I mumbled

"Why you let them hang 'round her child ? Both them think they better than everybody" I said

"Is that my daughter in law?!" I turned around to see my moms run up to India & hug her.
"When did you get here ?" India asked
"You know Aug flew me in last night " she said
I cleared my throat "So you don't see me rightchea' ?"
"Boy I been looking at you for 20 plus years, I'm tired of yo' ass now" she shrugged and walked off
"I know you hurt" India said with a smirk
I didn't reply I just walked off too

"Grandma how you gon' use holy & the D word in the same sentence?" Kay Kay asked
"Because I'm grown that's how" she said

"Daddy I want cake !" Ava yelled causing me & India to hurry up and cut everybody slices
