Troian's POV

We got seated in the living room of the house while we waited for their alpha to show up. I honestly did not know what their alpha's name was. I tired listening to their conversations to figure it out but I finally gave up. All they would say is Alpha this and Alpha said this.

As we waited a couple guys started trailing in. They were all pretty tall and not bad looking. They caught sight of us all sitting in here and froze before the burly man announced we were they visiting pack. Nodding they both entered the room fully the one on the right locked eyes with me and traveled over to where I was sitting.

"It is nice to meet y'all." He had a slight country accent but it seem to work with his appearance. It even added to his charm.

"My name is Mason and that is Curtis." We all nodded and a introduced ourselves.

Mason sat on the coffee table in front of me and put his hand out for me to shake.

"And your name is?" I could not help but blush at the attention as I place my hand in his.

"Troian." Mason smiled and continued to talk to me as everybody started mindless chatter across the room. He was easy to talk to and I even found myself laughing at his stupid jokes. Before I even realized what was happening all the guys who belonged to the White Ridge pack were standing tall. I was confused until my dad motioned for me to stand because the Alpha was coming.

A smell hit me hard. So hard my wolf whimpered before she started jumping around in my head wanting to be let out and to have control. I pushed her back and closed my fists as I fought for control.

In the door way stood a tall and extremely gorgeous man. He put every other man to shame. He had a sharp jawline and the bluest eyes I had ever seen. I was already weak in the knees but I somehow remained standing.

"Alpha this the visiting pack, it is just the Alpha and Beta families." The Alpha did not seem to care what the man was saying he was scanning us like he was searching for something. Or for someone.

His eyes settled on mine and that seem to snap something inside of him because not even a second later he was charging forward. Right toward me. Part of me fought to stay still while the other part of me wanted to run in the other direction. It is not like I do not want a mate, it is just that I just remembered I did not exactly plan when I would meet my mate or how or where. Now that it is happening I am not sure how to react. I am only 18, still in school. He looks like a grown man. He had to be at least twenty three or older.

As these thoughts ran around in my head he had already closed in on me. He stood directly in front of me only pausing briefly before his hands came in contact with my hips pulling me toward his warm body.

Forget winter clothes I just needed him to stay warm.

I snapped out of my mate filled senses enough to realize he was growling. Confused I pulled back enough to see him shouting daggers at Mason.

"Why do I smell you on my mate!" His voice was low but deep. That is when my knees finally gave out but it didn't matter because my mate was holding me up.

"Alpha, forgive me I was just talking to her. I just shook her hand. That's all." Mason tried to explain in a hurry.

"It is enough for me to snap your neck but you will have this warning since you did not know, next time you will not see another day. Understand?" How could a threat so mean seem so hot coming from him.

"Yes Alpha." The alpha I could tell was struggling to calm down. On instinct I place the palms of my hands on his t-shirt covered chest. This drew his attention to my face. His eyes darted across my face as he seem to be taking in every single detail. I was doing the same to him.

"Well then, I guess we have a lot to discuss Alpha Shields." My dad spoke up and that made me realize I was in the arms of a stranger in the middle of my pack members. I pull away from him earning a small growl of a warning from my mate.

"It seems like we do but for now you all get settled into your rooms. Curtis will show you to your rooms. I will see you all at dinner." My alpha nodded in agreement and everybody followed Curtis, including me.

"Where do you think your going little one?" The deep voice caught me off guard and I almost tripped over my own foot. Two hands shot out and helped me regain balance. The sparks shot up my arm and went straight to my heart. I swear I felt my heart beat get stronger and louder.

"I was going to my room?" It came out as a question rather than a statement.

"Your room is my room, it is OUR room." I spun around until I was facing him.

"Excuse me? I just met you. I can not sleep in the same room as you." I felt furious that he would just assume that I would jump in bed with him. I know he is my mate but it was to soon for that. "I will be sleeping in my own room." I knew I should have probably obeyed him but he could not tell what to do.

"Listen well little one, you WILL sleep in OUR room with ME. That is what is going to happen. You are in my territory. Let me tell you some of our rules. The male and female have equal rights and say unless it regards his mates safety or health. That is just one to a long list, that means tonight you can decide to get in our bed of your own free will or I can have a minister down here in five minutes. Your choice. Your only choice."

I could feel the strength and power behind his voice. I willed myself to get angry at him but my wolf would not allow it. I did not want to marry him so soon to meeting him. That only left one option because I knew if I angered him anymore it could push him into marking me before I was ready.

"Fine but I will not like sharing a bed with you." Alpha Shields smirks at me as I agree. Then he arrogantly replies,

"Liar."
