I woke up in a hospital bed surrounded by machines.

"Kylie! Oh my- I was so worried." Someone said.

They held my hand tightly waiting for a response.

I smiled and realized, Grayson stood by me the whole time.

Where do you ever find a guy like him?

Exactly. You can't.

I tried to get up and move but my body didn't budge.

My eyes started to focus, and I could start to see Grayson better.

I noticed he had tears running down his face.

As I started thinking the worst that could've happened as to why he was crying.

But soon a nurse walks into my room interuppting my thoughts.

"Ahh finally Ms. Colavecchio. You are finally awake." The nurse said, with a smile on her face.

"What happened? The last thing I remember was I was on the ground in the middle of an intersection, and Blackbear was playing?" I asked confused.

I tried to get up again but Grayson told me to stop, just in case I could damage anything more.

"Yes unfortunately you were involved in a car accident. But the police were sent to the scene to figure out what really happened."

I see Grayson's head whip around with a confused look on his face as she walks closer to us.

"What do you mean 'find out what really happened'?" Grayson asked.

She looked down and sighed and stayed quiet for a few seconds.

Why is she acting like that?

I laid in the bed staring at her, waiting for her to answer.

"According to the nearby bystanders, the car at the other red light had stopped, then you drove, and it-"

She stopped talking and looked down again.

"What?" I said, starting to get angry.

"The car hit you on purpose."

It suddenly felt as if my heart stopped right there on the spot.

I saw the look on Grayson's face, it looked like his heart drop too.

"How do you know someone hit me on purpose?"

My voice was shaking, I couldn't even talk properly.

"The car at the scene immediately drove away as you were hit." She said.

I was scared. Not even scared. I was terrified.

Grayson held my hands tightly.

"Why would someone try to hurt me?"

"I don't know because you're one of the most loving and beautiful people I've ever met." Grayson said.

He brushed a strand of hair out of my face.

He lifted my head with his finger.

"Don't worry." He said kissing me.

The kiss made me feel better.

But the accident was done on purpose. The word purpose just kept replaying in my head.

"You'll be able to get around in maybe 2 hours though. The police will notify you if they find any evidence." The nurse said before turning to leave.

"But Ms. Colavecchio, we need you to be careful because, it's possible someone is trying to get you." She said.

She left the room, leaving only Grayson, my thoughts, and I alone.
