Fending For Ourselves

You awake feeling so refreshed and warm that you don't even want to get out of bed. You lay there for a few minutes until your friend enters the room. They knocked twice before coming in to check on you and see if you're awake. They carefully and quietly walk over to your bed and sit down on the edge.

"Hey Y/N, how are you holding up?" They ask you softly.

"Hey Y/BF/N, with all things considered, I'm doing fairly good ." You say with a yawn.

"Ok, well whenever you're ready I'll be down in the kitchen making breakfast, if you're hungry." They reply.

"Alright, thank you and I'm starving. I'll be eating for sure, don't worry." You comment.

"Haha, ok Y/N that's great. I'll see you down there in a few minutes then." They say and then head out of the door to go downstairs.

After about five minutes, you master up the energy to get up and head to the kitchen. You sit up on the bed and stretch, you start to feel a little dizzy. You just brush it off and go downstairs without falling down them.

In the kitchen you see Y/BF/N, you slowly make your way to them. They see you and say, "Wow, Y/N you're finally awake." "Are you ready to eat breakfast, how are you feeling?"

You walk over and sit down at the kitchen table. You look over to Y/BF/N and tell them that you're just a little dizzy but other than that you're fine. You add on to that and say " I am hungry though, where's that breakfast you were talking about?"

Y/BF/N looks away from you and says "I'm glad that you're feeling ok but if you're feeling dizzy maybe after breakfast I can give you some medicine and then you can go lay down." After that statement they continue to make you your breakfast.

You tell Y/BF/N that what they suggested was a good idea. You didn't think walking around too much was a good idea right now. After the thoughts left your brain, you decided to just wait until your friend finishes breakfast to talk again.

They finish making breakfast and set up the plates. They hand you your plate and they sit down with you with there food. You both were peacefully eating for about three minutes until your friend initiates conversation again.

"Hey Y/N, I was thinking that since you're 20 you can start finding jobs." "I know that it must be a big step so I was wondering what you thought about it." Y/BF/N implied.

"Of course I can start to find a job Y/BF/N." "Yes it will take me a little while to get use to it but I want to help support us too." "But I have one question, how will I be able to find a job?" "I don't even have a phone." You tell Y/BF/N.

"Wow thank you so much Y/N, that means a lot to me." "And that's easy, I can get you a phone and if you want I can also get you a lap top as well." They inform you.

"No problem, anything to help." "And really, you would do that for me?" "Thank you so much!" "Oh I would love a lap top as well." You tell them.

"Of course I would Y/N." "You know what, it looks like you need new clothes too." "What do you say we go shopping for the things you need in a few?"
They ask.

"That sounds amazing Y/BF/N, just let me get ready." You tell them.
"Alright, well take your time because I have to get ready too." Your friend says with a laugh.

You clean up your plate after you've finished eating and ask Y/BF/N where the medicine is. You were still feeling dizzy but you were feeling a lot better especially because you ate. Since you were feeling better you are hoping that the medicine helps and that you don't have to lay down. You find the medicine, take it, and head upstairs to get ready. Before hand you asked Y/BF/N if you could borrow some of their clothes for the day. As you make your way to their bedroom, you go inside and walk over to their closet. And choose one of three outfits...

After you have chosen an outfit you decide to take a shower. You head to the bathroom with your clothes and once you step inside you shut the door and lock it. You walk over to the sink counter and put your clothes on it. You look into the mirror and don't even recognize yourself. You have bruises and cuts all over your face and body. Your hair is a mess, you have bags under your eyes, and it seems that you have lost a lot of weight. You back away from the mirror and get ready to go in the shower. You take your clothes off, set them in a pile and step into the warm shower.

---Time skip to after your done taking a shower because who wants to read about that. 😂

You get out of the shower and dry off. You then get dressed in the nice outfit that Y/BF/N let you wear. You think that the outfit looks amazing, just a little big considering that you have lost a fairly large amount of weight but you don't care because they're clean clothes. You decided that you wanted to do something with your hair so you straighten/curl it or put it up (in any hairstyle you prefer). You finally finish when you realize that you want to cover up the cuts and bruises on your face, so you ask Y/BF/N if you can use their makeup. They say that you can use it and you apply it to your face. After about an hour of getting ready you go and find Y/BF/N.

You go to their room and knock on the door. It takes a few seconds, maybe even a minute before they open it. Thank god they were just getting ready because you thought that there was something wrong. When suddenly they tap your shoulders saving you from your thoughts.

They ask you if you're ok and you tell them that your fine and that you were just lost in thought. They nod and ask you if you're ready to go. You shake your head yes and then they say "Come on then, Y/N!" "Let's go shopping!"

A/N: Sorry to leave it there guys but I think that's good enough for this chapter. I don't want to take this story too fast. I am surprised though, I used 1100+ words. If there's any typos just let me know, nicely, and I'll fix them. I hope you guys liked it and I'll see you in the next one.
