She quickly looked to the side and felt her face get warmer as she let the "I love you!" set in her head, but smiled despite knowing that he said it for the audience, and never for her.

After BTS finished speaking, she noticed that Taehyung worryingly asked the mcee something, referring to Red Velvet. The mcee shook her head, not knowing whether or not Red Velvet would have a chance to speak or not. So in the end, they didn't, fortunately for them because they were freezing cold, shaking.

The countdown started as she looked up to see the numbers go down while the background music played. She felt someone staring at her so when she turned around to see who, she saw Jimin's head quickly whip back up.

Honestly, she thought it was him at first but decided against it, he could just be looking somewhere else.

There was ten seconds left on the clock, counting down out loud with Wendy's perfect english ringing clear in her ear.

"Three, two, one! Happy new year!"

She went into a group huddle with the others and started jumping and dancing around to keep warm and out of celebration as the upbeat music started playing, she wished Yeri was there to start the year off with them as well, but all she can do is wait for her to be an adult.

Shortly afterwards, the music faced away as it ended, meaning for them to go backstage and go. She motioned at Irene and the other two, seeing that BTS and Seventeen let them go first.

She bowed to Jimin as he bowed to her, quickly rushing in to stay warm. She noticed Irene bowed to Mingyu since she bumped into him, seeing how Taehyung's jaw tightened at the sight of Irene interacting with another guy. She could tell he was jealous, but didn't voice her opinion out, just like how she with Jimin about the other day.

two weeks afterwards

She finally set all her items in place in her new (formerly empty) room with Wendy, as they recently moved to a new dorm.

Irene got to have a room to herself, as the leader and the oldest, luckily for her since she said she liked her own company despite enjoying others as well. She could relate as well, she loved her own company during practices and during walks, where she could let her mind go loose and sort everything out.

Yeri and Joy chose to be roommates (again, who knows what they're up to now) leading to her and Wendy to be roommated together, which they didn't mind.

She turned her head at the sound of Irene shouting her name to get out of the dorm, since they were to go to the Golden Disk Awards today.

She fixed her simple makeup, knowing that the makeup artists would add on more in the dressing room and into fancier dresses for the red carpet, which she was actually excited for some strange reason.

She yelled out in response, "Okay Irene, I'm coming out!"

I feel like I will see Jimin often tonight.
