Hope wanted to see her baby brother or sister, so Lucas is bringing her along.
"Okay, Maya. Hello" She say acknowledging Lucas and Hope standing up near the door
"Doctor Marshall, that's my baby's father, Lucas and my daughter, Hope"
"They are so sweet" She say lifting my shirt to reveal my small bulging tummy.
She squeezes some gel on my stomach

"Ah! Here is you baby." She say finally finding it
"See, Hope? That's the baby" Lucas day showing her
Her face lights up and she continues to watch the screen in amazement
"Now, this baby is awfully tiny for eighteen weeks gestation" She say in a worried tone
"So is my baby okay?" I ask quickly
"The baby seems healthy, and has a strong heartbeat. Not to worry some babies develop slower than others. Would you like to hear the heartbeat"
I nod and soon the sound of our baby's heart beat filled the room, Lucas and Hope did a shock face and I chuckle at their silliness

Hope was asleep in the backseat, Lucas drove and I guess he could see the worry on my face.
"Just calm down Maya, everything will be fine"
"Our baby is tiny Lucas - did you not see him?"
"Him?" Lucas asks, laughing a little bit
"Yeah, it's a boy"
"That's a girl, Maya - I know it"
"It's a boy" I say placing a hand on my stomach
"We'll see."
"Wanna bet?" I ask him
He interwines my pinkie in his and smiles
I watch as Lucas takes Hope inside, I couldn't help but tear up. I can't believe I even for a second I believed he cheated on me.
I watch as he rush to me and help me out of the car.
"Lucas - I'm fine"
"I have to make sure you're okay..." He say smiling
I grab his face and place a kiss on his lips, he puts a hand on my waist and deepens the kiss.
I smile in the kiss and he picks me up taking me inside.
