More Than Just A Kick

Chapter 3

" We're partners." He declared.

" At sino ka para sundin ko?"

" Boyfriend mo." Natatawang sabi niya.

"How dare you!"

" I love you!" Nakangisi niyang saad.

" I don't love you. I cannot love someone who's flirt and who knows baka fubu pa! You are completely stranger to me. Stop acting like this. You don't know me, too."

" Then, hayaan mong makilala natin ang isa't isa. Naniniwala kasi akong destiny tayo. Una palang kita makita sa canteen, nagustuhan na kita."

" Ba't ang kulit mo? Hindi rin tayo destiny."

" Makulit ako kasi makulit ang puso ko dahil ikaw ang tinitibok nito."

" Boom basag!"
"Ayiee!"
"Sweet nemern!"
"Yes!" Palakpak. "Woooo."

Hiyawan ng mga kaklase namin.

" Psst. Magsitahimik kayo." Saway ni Ma'am. " Anong problema niyo Ms. Marseille and Mr. Kennedy?"

" Ma'am ayoko po siyang maging ka-partner!" Reklamo ko kay Ma'am.

" Sorry to say but wala ka nang ibang magiging partner kundi siya."

"Okay."

Then he winks to me.

" Wala kang kawala sakin." He chuckled.

The hour pass by, we planned on how to act the scenario. Kami yung unang nabunot ni Ma'am. I'm not ready but gosh I hate to stand in front of crowd or even just a few people. Nanginginig na ang tuhod ko sa kaba, kahit isang tao lang eh. Hindi pa kasi ako sanay dito sa Pilipinas.

Nagsimula na kaming umarte.

" Babe," I called him, nakakasuka. Hindi ko kaya to. Pero ayokong ma-singko kaya pipilitin ko na lang sarili ko.

" Why Babe?"

" I'm.." Kinakabahan kong sabi. I don't want to said it to him. Nakakahiya.

"You're what?" Tila nangingiti pa niyang tanong. Kainis, alam niyang ilang ako.

" I'm pregnant." Mabilis kong sabi.

To act that he is surprised he jump and say, " Successful!" And he hug me tight. Hindi ako makagalaw, hindi ito kasama sa scenario ah. But my world seems it stopped when he hug me.

" Wait babe," Natauhan ako, may line pa nga pala ako kaya tinulak ko siya. " Aren't you afraid? Soon we will be a parents to the child? We need money for the baby! A good shelter but we did not plan all of this? We are not yet ready for this. We are still studying! How about my study? How about a stable job for us? Our baby will suffer and I don't want that to happen! We are still young why we let this happen to us." I cried.

" I'm sorry babe... But I promise you I will marry you. I will strive hard and study hard. You will continue to study and assure you of that."

The scenario ends and that's it.

" Good Ending of the scenario Mr. Kennedy and Ms. Marseille." Our proffessor congrats us.

"Class Dismiss," at last the magical word I ever heard. I immediately go to library because it early 9:30. I am not yet hungry and besides it's our vacant time.

Umupo ako sa sulok. I am surprise when Mr. Serious sit beside me. Wala na palang ibang upuan.

" Thanks for paying the ride." I thankfully said to him. Medyo kinabahan ako kasi hindi siya sumagot.
