"Oh and, sir, our forensic pathologists say that they were all killed in various areas and then dumped at the warehouse. This happened in the interval of an hour. Every victim that died was freshly killed off. They all seemed to only have intervals of one minute, some two, to be freshly dumped there."
"So you're saying that this Agent 49 could kill a person in less than a minute and bring them to the warehouse in that same exact minute. Agent Hill, I know I'm the worst possible person to say this word but that all sounds impossible."
"The other variation, Mr. Fury, is their body temperature. Some of the bodies were ranging from minus eight to fifty degrees at the time of death."
"You're sure there was no one else' DNA found at the crime scene but this Agent 49? Because I am more than a hundred percent sure one single seventeen year old couldn't be capable of that much collateral damage."
"No, sir, the only DNA found at the scene was of the casualties and her."
"Cancel the search party for the Maximoff twins and put all our people on Agent 49. I need to see her in person, tied up in that cellar made for the Hulk on our helicarrier."
"Yes, sir."
"And where's your location, Maria?"
"I'm on the helicarrier, sir, we're currently above the west coast of Spain, making our way to a safe landing spot in New York."
"Where's Coulson?"
"At the Avengers Tower, sir. He's helping out with minor lab inconveniences over there while my team worked on the forensics."
"Reach quick, Agent Hill, we need you here in New York."
"Yes, sir."
The call was cut by Maria while Fury reached the Avengers Tower parking at a rapid speed, he never looked back at his horrendous parking when he entered the tower. He was greeted by Agent Coulson.
Pureness almost leaking down his face. "Mr. Fury, why did you never give a command for the avengers to find and bring in that girl?"
"I can't risk others getting hurt like Tony, we don't know what we're up against here. But the Maximoff's, that we do know and that's why I'm here to give the orders for Natasha, Barton, Steve and Thor to go after them." He suggestively breathed as they both got into the spec less elevator.
"Oh her names Agent 49." Fury said, pressing on the button that read '30'
"Her names a number?" Agent Coulson's eyebrows arched into his eyeballs while the two men felt the wave of air from beneath them approaching upwards from the force and speed of the elevator. Fury could almost feel the air forcing itself into his mouth as he parted his lips.
As they reached floor thirty the elevator stopped in its tracks with a 'ding' as the doors open(ed). Coulson and Fury stepped into one of the biggest rooms in the tower, the Avengers lounge. Yo their left was a slab of marble that acted like a mini kitchen all packed with a fridge and many fruit baskets.
Directly in front of Fury was a series of small spiral staircases that swirled into a big circle, the base of it lit by a neon light that changed to whatever colour it was programmed into, but at this time of the day it was off.
The mini staircase, ranging more by width than height as at the top there was a grand white couch, one of the biggest he'd ever laid eyes upon in his time.
It was circular covering the whole radius except for a bit which was more like how the avengers got in and out of the couch zone. It had various drink holders and buttons on the comfy material so they could adjust how they wanted to sit down. It went all the way back to a 180 degree angle so they could even catch a quick snooze.
Right in front of the cushion was a big screen that they usually used to watch random entertainment. Did Stark really need a 5,000 sq ft tv ? Hell it's not even a tv that's the size of most movie screens at a theatre, but the couch was spaced just back enough for the screen to not be hurtful for their pretty precious lady eyes.
The space to his right simply consisted of glass windows with one door, which was also made of glass, leading to the balcony.
The balcony was the most un-decorated in the whole tower, all it usually consisted of was plain air or those swinging outdoor benches.
Fury's staring session of the lounge was suddenly interrupted by a muscular blonde man. "Fury. Any news?" The mans voice rung in his ears like music.
"I've just come here to inform you that the avengers, well whatever's left of them...you guys will be taking a trip to Sokovia to find the Maximoff's. Coulson here will give you the rest of the details, Captain." Fury said as he turned to now make his trip to the lab, his mission to meet Banner growing more eager every second.
"Also," he called out, "Banner won't be making it with you guys, so you better suit up, Soldier."
