Amber's POV

As I walk out of the store, having bought the clothes, all I could think about is that I really, really hope that I got the right size for Crystal and Connor. My sister and I must have really made an impact, because everyone avoided me and I most definitely, did not miss the fear behind the cashier's eyes. In and out. I thought I would be running, not them. I had even dared to hope it to happen. I enter the house to find that everyone has taken a shower already.

"Well, um, I got clothes and hopefully they're the right size." After a moment's pause, I announce that I was going to take a shower and that they better have left some hot water for me. Then I walked off to do so.

Ruby's POV

I tell Connor and Crystal that they can use our rooms and lead them there. When they came out, Crystal's was the right size and Connor's seemed a size too big, but he said they fit, so I guess that it's ok. My sister came out and I told her that she got the right size. The next step is to figure out a way out. We sit around the kitchen table to do so. My sister is the first to speak up.

"So when we leave here, we need to have a plan to get the fire column off our tails."

"What if we just stay here?"

"Unfortunately that's not an option, Crystal."

"Why not Amber?"

"Well, Amber and I have shown them our powers and unlike your world, this one has no magic and they're afraid of what they don't understand."

"Oh."

"That can't be good."

"Yeah, well, now you know why we're so desperate to get away from here."

"What if we create dummies of ourselves?" As soon as the words left my mouth I realized how stupid the idea was.

"Well, then we'd only need to make three."

"Ha, ha. So funny Am."

"I thought it was."

"No one asked you Crystal."

"We could always just find this villain and stop him/her for good."

Connor, Crystal, and I all stare at Amber. Connor's the first to recover.

"What?"

"If we did it, no one would be tormented anymore, and everyone would be happy."

"Yeah, but, sis, we could die. I do not want to die."

"I agree with Amber,-"

"Connor!" Shouts Crystal in dismay.

"But, we need a plan."

"We won't need a plan because we're not doing this!"

"Crystal, I agree with you, but it's two against two. Unless someone changes their mind, we're never going to come to a conclusion. My final vote goes to not going to fight some wacko super villain like a bunch of idiots!"

"My vote goes to stepping up and helping people. And I'm not an idiot, little sister."

I glare at my sister. Especially for that last part.

"Staying safe and not fighting, even though I thought that I had already made that clear."

"Fighting so that we can be safe." Connor states glaring at his sister.

"Apparently having the four most stubborn people in the same room isn't all that good." I joke trying to stop all the glares going in between everyone. Yes, I realize I was doing it too, but we're all entitled to our own opinions. My plan didn't work though. Everyone just redirected their glares to me.

"What if we made a pros and cons list?"

"That's smart, for you."

"That hurts sis."

"It's supposed to Connor. That's why they call it an insult. Of course you wouldn't know that considering what an idiot you are."

"Actually I think it's a good idea."

"And for once I agree with my big sis."

When we were done the Pros list had: Saves people, won't let the villain attack again, safer world, and we could stop running. The Cons list had: We would die, we could fail, and we could just aggravate him even more so he becomes more ruthless and goes on a rampage. Needless to say, Pros won. Apparently we need to go fight a super villain. Wonderful. Absolutely, perfect.

A few hours later and an argument that almost ended up in a fight, (so not me and Connor because we would never do that.) we decided on a plan. Find the villain (like duh!) and give him everything we got. Simple. The only thing I got from this was that we're absolutely terrible at making plans so we're winging it. Not that I mind, I've always loved winging it.

"Wait so do we even know where to start looking?"

"Yeah, you guys do know the area best."

"There's a legend about a statue in the middle of a clearing in the very center of the biggest forest in our dimension, pointing to something. No one ever figured out what, but they say it's a tree with another clue to where the villain is."

"And the villain would point out where he is why?" My sister nods her head in agreement to my question.

"They say that a young man figured it out but was chased by a fire as he left the clues. He had brought the statue to where it was because he had a feeling that something would happen." Crystal finishes for her brother.

"That's a nice story." I say sarcastically.

"It's not a story, it's a legend."

"And legends are founded by facts."

"Will you quit interrupting me!

"Nope!" Crystal pops the 'p' while Connor sighs.

"So if this is true, we would need an overhead view."

"Yeah!"

"That's right, Amber!"

"Stop it!" Crystal giggles as Connor face palms.

"So that's the plan? Fly over the largest forest, find a clearing with a statue, and follow some clues?" I say making sure we knew the full plan.

"Pretty much."

"Seems like it."

"Without a doubt."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

With that we gathered supplies and headed out of the house and straight into the woods.
