A/N: So I decided to rewrite this first chapter...not sure about the rest yet but I hope you all enjoy!

Asa's P.O.V

It was another sweltering morning in October and I had just been dropped off at my destination by one of my family's personal drivers.
"Bye Mr. Wells! I'll see you later," I waved as the black Jeep drove off into the distance.

I paused, exhaling a breath as I examined my surroundings.

Was this really the location?' I thought as I stared down at the dilapidated wooden building and cringed.

When my parents suddenly told me that I would be attending a public school from now on, I would never have imagined that this was what they had in mind.

I adjusted the strap of my bag as I proceeded pensively towards the isolated building notoriously known as the E-class. Looks like this was where I was going to spend majority of my time now...well at least it's better than always being cooped up in that mansion all day...

I made sure to arrive extra late as me being the attention whore that I was, I wanted to make a dramatic entrance.

Ha! I was kidding obviously!

I hated being the centre of attention as much as I couldn't stand onions. However, considering the unfortunate circumstances, I decided from the onset that I had to feign an air of nonchalance and delinquency so that people would not walk over me.
Though if push came to shove I wouldn't hesitate to throw these hands.

Adrenaline surged through my veins as each step I took brought me closer to the door of destiny.
To say that I was anxious would probably be an understatement.
I tried to quell my rising nerves and probably bile as my hand hovered a few inches over the knob.
I stared down nervously at my hand, taking a moment to remind myself why I was here in the first place.

My parents made sure that I was painfully aware that my level of intelligence was inferior to theirs.

It baffled me that they'd even allow my existence to be known to the public by sending me to school, when it was obvious that they were ashamed of me.

I despised them with every fibre of my being ever since I was old enough to decipher my feelings.

I had to eventually come to terms with the fact that as long as I was living rent free under their roof, they could treat me however they saw fit and I just had to bear with it. My only consolation was the fact that it wouldn't last forever....At least I tried to convince myself so.

But mama despite her subservient ways, didn't raise no weak bitch!
'I'm gonna break free from these damn chains!' I thought assertively pushing the door open.

My confidence took a hard blow when the door flew open and I scanned the people in the room.

Almost everyone's head was down and the others seemed to ignore my existence entirely.

Did they not hear me come in?

"What an ominous aura," I whispered in slight intimidation as I stood awkwardly in the door frame waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence.
