chapter 1

 darcy's POV:

today was the day me and my mum are going to the hospital because 2 months earlier my mum was diagnosed with cancer and she has to go into treatment.

''darcy'' my mum calls from the living room,''im coming mum'' I shout,get my things and go out of my room when i reach the living room evryone is alredy waiting to go. i will be staying with my mum for a little bit in the hospital considering i was the oldest and my dad had to look after my sister and the house.

the car ride to the hospital was quite boring i sat there listening to music because i wasnt in the mood to talk to anyone

when we reach the hospital we are greeted by my mums doctor and he led us to her room unfotruanatly we weren't rich enough to get a private room so we had to share one with another family but we didnt complain we just wanted our mum to get out of this.

when we enter the room there is a lady lying in one of the beds.''hello you must be the lovely lady that i will be sharing this room with,my name is Maura'' she said smiling and greeting my mum''yes hello its a pleasure to meet you,my name is Dianna''

''thats such a lovely name''Maura said in a sweet tone ''aww thanyou so is yours'' my mum replied.''this is my family''

''Darcy''she said pointing to me

''Madison'' pointing to my sister 

''and my lovely husband Patrick'' pointing to my dad 

''its lovely to meet you all'' said Maura

''its a pleasure to meet you too''i said

after having a little conversation with the lovely women we were siting next to my mums bed while she was sleeping.

it was like 8pm when my mum woke up and my dad said that he is going to go home with Madison because she has school to go to tomorrow and he has work,but he said he will be here tomorrow after work.

I finished school 2 months ago just a week before my mum was diagnosed with cancer so we couldent afford to send me to collage and i wasn't complaining because id rather spend the days with my mum in hospital than to go to collage and plus even if i was in collage i wouldnt be able to get my head to studyng.
