Eight explorers
Seven hours
Eight exhausted explorers
Seven long draining hours
And one severely irritated and tired air hostess.
Nirvana and Cyrus.
Cyrus and Nirvana.
Some would call them entertaining, others would say distracting.
But the majority of people, would prefer to use the phrase 'a pain the in ass'.
Especially when you've sat next to them on a plane - for hours on end, listening to them sing - for hours on end.
They were now into their fourth round of Air Hostess by Busted.
The smell of nostalgia filled the air, along with their out of tune singing.
The duo had been 'asked' to stay quiet but they "couldn't hear what was being said because of the sound of their awesomeness" - to quote Cyrus.
The passengers, including their friends, we're more than happy to say the least when the plane had landed. Everyone seemed to fight to get off of the flying metal can when the doors open, and not just because it was 9:30 am and people were tired.
As they all walked out of the plane, clutching their jackets close to them as the new continent's cold air came as a shock to them all, they groggily walked into the terminal. Almost falling asleep as they walked -except for Cyrus and Nirvana of course- the others headed towards passport control and baggage pick up.
"You know, as much as I enjoy the whole 'low budget teen movie adventure' thing we're doing right now, I would equally enjoy a coffee" Gray stated while running his fingers through his golden hair, it's rough and messy look still as perfect as ever.
"Low budget? Excuse you but I have higher standards than a cheap Disney Channel movie" Dean chuckled, his mood drastically changing from Satan spawn to eccentric elf.
"Woah woah woah. Woah. Did you just say that High School Musical is cheap?! Your ass would be lucky to be featured in those piece of art" Babe wore a humorous smirk on her lips as she scolded Dean, who enjoyed it equally as much.
The group seemed to quieten down, even nirvana and Cyrus had silenced their singing. Everything was peaceful as they walked through the terminal halls, surrounded by a small number of other passengers who were also taking their time.
Nothing but footsteps were heard until a soft tune played from Charlie's lips. It seemed to resemble Breaking Free, one of the final songs sung by Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez.
"Were soarin', flyin," Charlie's tune became slightly louder, loud enough to catch Nirvana's ear.
"There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach" Her out of tune singing resembled one of an intoxicated woman in the middle of a mid life crisis in a bar. But she somehow pulled it off.
Cyrus decided it was his turn to take the next line. "If we're tryin'"
"So we're breaking free" Gray cut in, earning a scowl from Cyrus.
Everyone grew quiet for a moment, but only for a moment. But that moment was long enough for each and everyone one of them to look at each other and smirk. They knew. They all knew what was about to happen.
"You know the world can see us
In a way that's different than who we are
Creating space between us
'Til we're separate hearts
But your faith it gives me strength
Strength to believe
We're breakin' free!!"
Yes. Yes the overgrown children did in fact sing the entire song of Breaking Free in the airport terminal at around 9:30am after picking up their lives and running away.
You know what made that moment ever 'better'?
They continued to sing -and reenact almost all the dances- to nearly all the songs in all three High School Musical movie in the terminal halls instead of picking up their bags and heading away.
The stayed singing for almost 40 minutes, until their stomach started singing to which they decided it was time to move on and get food after heading out, where ever 'out' was.
