Travis Stoll x Reader (Strawberry Fields)

"Thanks (y/n)!" Katie Gardner from the Demeter cabin smiled and thanked you as she walked away, waving behind her. She had asked you if you could help harvest some of the strawberries. Katie had told you that most of the other demigods had refused to help, but you didn't mind, you had nothing better to do anyway and you thought it would be good for you to have some nice quiet time, that was until a certain tall, brown haired and blue eyed son of Hermes raced past you, spilling your already half full bucket of strawberries onto the floor. He was in fits of laughter as he continued to run through the rows of strawberry plants, turning around only to poke his tongue out at you.

All you could do was stand there, your eyes wide and mouth agape as your gaze flickered between the wasted and crushed strawberries, and the devious son of Hermes.

"TRAVIS STOLL!" You yelled, taking off through the fields of strawberries after him, finally snapping out of your dazed state, "You idiot! I am sooooooo going to get you for that!"
"You have to catch me first y/n!" His statement only spurred you on, however, closing in on the Stoll boy, he ducked into the next row of strawberries, laughing hysterically and taunting you as you tried to catch him. You were a fast runner for sure, possibly even one of the fastest in camp, however being a child of Hermes came with its perks.

"Travis Stoll I swear to all of the Gods that when I catch you I am gonna send you straight to tartaru..." You didn't finish your sentence as you turned another corner, still in pursuit of the brown haired boy, however, as you turned into the next row of strawberries you couldn't seem to see the prankster boy.

Suddenly a pair of strong arms snaked their way around your waist, lifting you off the ground as you were slung over the boy's shoulder, that boy being Travis.
"Travis put me down!" You gasped, out of breath from laughing and running too hard.
"Nuh-uh I'm never gonna let you down, you're just gonna have to get used to this cos' I'm afraid you're stuck there!" Travis laughed, his sky blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight.
"Stoll!" You shouted playfully.
"Fine, fine I'll put you down."

After being slung over Travis' shoulder and spun around consecutively in circles, he finally let you down. You were surprised by how gentle he was with you as if he were placing you perfectly onto your own two feet. However, still a little dizzy from the spinning, you stumbled, tripping over your feet as the ground suddenly rushed up to meet you, you squeezed your eyes shut.

you never happened to feel the sharp pain of hard ground colliding with your face though as Travis grabbed your wrist and, placing one arm around your waist, caught you centimetres before you hit the ground.

You opened your eyes and were met by mesmerisingly beautiful blue ones,
"Woahhhh watch yourself there girly" Travis laughed, you felt your cheeks heating up and quickly broke eye contact with the son of Hermes, however you managed to catch a glimpse of his crooked grin, causing you to blush an even deeper crimson. Seemingly oblivious Travis pulled you up to your feet, holding onto your hands for just a second to make sure you weren't still wobbly.

"Uhhhh t-thanks..." You mumbled, avoiding eye contact.
"I tell ya' y/n, it's like watching Bambi learning to walk," Travis smirked.
"Bambi?"
"Yeah, you know how he's all wobbly on his legs and stuff, and he keeps falling over at the start of the movie?"
"Ohh yeah..." You smirked, remembering the scene of the old classic.
"Yeah, you kinda remind me of that." The boy laughed,
"Travis!" You pretended to be angry, but you wouldn't contain the wide smile.

"Well come on then." Travis began to walk, gesturing for you to follow, "better get you back to your bucket so you can finish collecting those strawberries for Katie." He laughed as he continued through the rows of strawberry plants, going back the way that you had come, towards the now empty bucket.
"Heyyy, you have to help too you know!" You said, jogging to catch up to Travis.
"Wha-? No way, why?" He furrowed his brow, looking down at your face, however unable to hide his smile.
"Cos' if it weren't for you I would probably be finishing filling my 4th bucket by now Stoll!" You smiled, poking your tongue out at Travis.
"Ok, ok, I'll help." He sighed, raising his hands in surrender. "But only if you beat me back to the bucket!" He laughed as he took off down the isles of strawberry plants.
"Hey, no fair! Travis I'm gonna' kill you!" You yelled after him, as, for the second time today, you started chasing the laughing son of Hermes through the never ending fields of strawberries

"Y/n! What happened!" Katie Gardner gasped as she took one look at you and Travis, standing just outside the door to her dorm.
It turns out Travis had beat you to the bucket but he had helped you pick the strawberries anyway. Along the way the two of you had gotten into a food fight, laughing whilst throwing strawberries at each other, resulting in the two of you being covered from head to toe in strawberry residue

"Ahhhhh bit of an accident?" You replied, gaze glued to the ground, next to you Travis laughed, scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh well, at least you got the strawberries!" Katie smiled as the two of you handed over the buckets, "now go and get cleaned up before dinner!" She waved as she closed the door behind her.

You turned on your heel, heading towards both of your dorms
"Thanks for this Stoll, I'm gonna have strawberry stuck in my hair for atleas- mmphhh!" You were suddenly cut off as you were gently, yet forcefully grabbed by the wrist and spun around, a pair of soft lips pressed themselves against yours.

You couldn't help but sink into the kiss, tenderly kissing back, you couldn't help but feel butterflies in your stomach as his strong arms snaked around your waist, you couldn't help but smile against his lips as you broke apart.
"Trav-"
"Y/n?" He cut you off before you could finish, his arms still wrapped around your waist.
"Y-Yeah?"
"You taste like strawberries." And with that the prankster son of Hermes took off towards his cabin, looking back over his shoulder only once, to flash you his signature crooked grin.
"TRAVIS STOLL UGH YOU STUPID IDIOT WHAT WAS THAT?!" You yelled, storming after him, yet unable to hide the smile that seemed permanently plastered to your face.
