They left the room as Ryan grabbed ahold of Valerie's hand and gently held it as they walked to the elevator. "Did I ever tell you that you look sexy in that outfit?" He asked stepping into the elevator
"No, I don't think I've worn this one before."
"You should wear it more often, it shows off those curves that I love so much." He said playfully grabbing here and squeezing her sides
"Ryan, stop!" She giggled as she tries to push him away
"You're just so damn sexy, I can't help myself." He smiled as the doors opened up and she began to start sprinting away from him.
"I wouldn't wear yourself out little lady, you've got a long morning ahead of you." He said walking up to her
"I think I'll be okay." He opened the door for her as they both went in to find a couple of people in there. "I'll start with the mile." She said stretching her legs
"Alright, I'll be lifting weights." He walked off to the back as Valerie continued to stretch. She set the treadmill for a mile and then started to sprint, followed by a light run.
Her finished time was five minutes, which wasn't her personal best but it'll do since she wasn't planning on running today. Next she followed up with the stair master and decided to do five minutes of that.
After she finished the stair master, the couple of people that were already there before had left, so it was just her and Ryan. She went to the back to see what he was doing and she found him in the corner held up by his forearms while he lifted a twenty pound weight with both his feet
He let go of the weight after five more reps and got down to wipe the sweat from his forehead using his shirt. "You done with your run?" He asked
"Yea and then I went on the stair master. I just wanted to see what you were up to."
"Working on my core." He said bending down to pick the weight up and put it back on the rack. "I think I found something that you and I could do together."
She followed him over to another machine as she was trying to figure out what does it do. "What is it?" She asked
"Strength endurance machine. It's sort of like zero gravity, you have to lift yourself and stay there or you could lay flat and do it."
"I'm not built like you, I'm a runner and the only endurance I'm used to is distance and speed, but you on the other hand are built like a Russian tank, so I think I'll sit this one out."
"Aww come on, don't let this Russian tank scare you off, it's real easy and I know you can do it if you just try." He said taking her by the hand. "All you gotta do is get on top, pull the handles and stay."
"Ok, I'll try." She got on the platform and grabbed the handles, she struggled to get them to even budge and when they did she quickly let them go because she was already out of energy
"Come on baby, you can do it. Just take your time." She struggled some more and then eventually she pulled the handles up far enough to were she could get a good grip on them.
"There you go, now hold that for as long as you can." She concentrated on her balance and not how much weight she was pulling.
To her it seemed like she held on for a minute when actually it was about thirty seconds. She eased the handles down and immediately felt the burn in her arms. "Good job, not bad for your first time." He said helping her down
"Now I want to see you do it." He stepped up, firmly planted his feet and reached for the handles as he pulled himself up with ease. Without any hesitation he lifted himself in one swoop and held it like it was no big deal.
