Chapter 34: B-Day (Part 1)

Lauren's POV:

Well Boston was awesome. It was the perfect show to start our tour, the crowd was amazing and our performance was flawless. After everything that happened with the camera and shit I thought I would screw up and ruin everything, but I did pretty great, we all did. And now, the day has come. I woke up with Camila lying next to me in my bunk, which is clearly for one person, but I love to see her cuddling next to me. I slowly take a strand of hair from her face, kiss her cheek and she scrunches her nose. "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday baby Camzi, happy birthday to you." I sing softly in her ear and a smile appears on her face. "Hey Lo." She says with her sleepy morning voice and kisses my lips. "How are you feeling birthday girl?" I ask playing with her hair. "I don't know, old." She chuckles and I kiss her again. Those lips are going to be the death of me. I would taste them forever if I could, I would hold her in my arms and cuddle with her for eternity. "We have a day off, what do you want to do?" She asks me yawning. Its our first day in New York City and tomorrow is our show. "Oh baby everything is already planned, don't you worry about it." I say staring into her eyes and she smiles. "Should I be scared Jauregui?" She asks lifting her eyebrows. "You should be extremely scared babe, you have no idea." I answer and she giggles. "I'm so happy to be spending this day with you Lolo, thank you for being so amazing." Camila tells me with a special sparkle in her eye and I kiss her lips. After everything we've been through we've grown so close, I can't imagine my life without her. As soon as Camila gets out of the bunk the girls jump on top of her. "Happy birthday Mila!" They scream hugging her. "Thanks girls, I love you!" I hear her say and I smile. I'm so happy she's having a nice birthday even if she's away from home, I know it must be extremely hard for her. "Where's Lauren? She's not in her bunk." I hear Ally ask and I giggle softly. "I'm right here." I say opening the bunk's curtain. "Oh girls come on, not in the bus." Dinah says laughing and Camila blushes. "What? We didn't do anything, we just slept." I answer getting out and they laugh. We get ready and walk to the common area of the bus. "Lets go girls, New York is waiting for us!" Ally says walking out of the bus and we follow her. This city is breathtaking, it really is. We take a cab to a pizza restaurant and have lunch for Camila's birthday. "So, we have something to do, we'll meet you in the bus." Ally says standing up and Dinah and Normani follow her. "Where are you going? What's happening?" Camila asks and I hold her hand. "We can have dessert together and then go back to the bus." I tell her smiling and she looks at me confused. "Okay then, I'll see you later." She says and the girls walk out of the restaurant. They have something planned for Camila, and even though they didn't let me know the details, they asked for my help to distract her for a while. And my surprise is planned for tonight, so I'm going to need their help as well. "Can we have a creme brulee?" I tell the waiter smiling and he nods. "That's my favorite dessert." She says holding my hand over the table. "I know babe, that's why I asked for it." I tell her rubbing her hand with my thumb. "I need to kiss you right now, so badly." She says biting her bottom lip. "We'll be able to do a lot of that tonight Camz." I say smiling. "Oh, really? What are we doing tonight?" She asks me lifting her eyebrows. "You'll have to wait and see, that's the whole idea of a surprise, you know?" I tell her and she giggles. "Alright smartypants." She says and our dessert arrives. "Thanks for this Lauren, I love you." She says grabbing a spoon. "I love you too baby." I answer staring into her amazing brown eyes. Everything would be so much better if I could just kiss her and hug her in front of everyone, but I can't and it sucks. Maybe we should just get this over with already, things would be some much easier. But I guess love isn't easy, is it?

Camila's POV:

Even though dessert with Lauren was amazing, I'm still really curious. Why did the girls leave like that? We pay for lunch and I start looking for a cab. "Why don't we walk Camz? You can have my beanie again if you're cold." Lauren tells me holding my hand. "Yeah, why not?" I answer looking around the city and we start to walk back to our bus. "This is so beautiful." I say mesmerized by the tall buildings, the busy people walking against us, the big flashy signs, and I suddenly feel so small. "I know, right? Just like you." Lauren tells me with a smile. "Thank you Lauren Michelle." I say squeezing her hand. "You're welcome Camzi. I love you." She says pulling me closer to her. "But why me Lo? Out of all the people in this world, why did you choose me?" I ask her staring into her piercing green eyes. "Because you're beautiful, and talented, and so incredibly caring and sweet. You're an amazing person Camila, everything about you drives me crazy. I can't help but wonder why did God choose me, out of all the people in this world, to be the lucky one to have your love. I'm incredibly blessed to have you in my life Camz, please don't you ever forget how amazing you are." She tells me with such a sincere tone in her voice. And without even thinking about the consequences I hold her face and passionately kiss her lips in the middle of the streets of New York City. She kisses me back holding my waist and I wrap my arms around her neck. People walk past us, but no one seems to care. Its just us, alone in this city crowded by people. "You shouldn't have done that." Lauren says as soon we pull apart. "You should've stopped me." I say grinning and she pecks my lips. "That's impossible babe, you know that." She says with a smile. "Lets go back to the bus, I'm freezing, and please don't take off your beanie Lo, I don't you to be cold too." I say giggling. "Okay, but then I'm going to have to give you my scarf." She says putting it around my neck. "That's cheating, you know?" I say lifting my eyebrows and she smirks. "But thank you for caring Lo." I say and we start walking hand to hand. After a while we finally get to the bus and I hear a guitar. "Hey Lauren, do you hear that too?" I ask and she nods opening the door. Suddenly I hear a male voice singing in a sexy british accent and a guitar strumming. "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Camila, happy birthday to you." I walk in and see Ed Sheeran with a guitar. "Oh my God! How did this happen? What are you doing here?" I start screaming and jumping around the bus until I finally walk to him and hug his beautiful self. "He had a show in New York and he agreed to come chill with us for a while." Dinah says smiling. "You guys are the best, this is the best birthday gift ever!" I say hugging them and Lauren disappears. After a while she comes back holding a beautiful birthday cake. "I know we just had dessert, but you still get to make a wish." She says winking. I can't really wish for anything, I love my life, I love my friends and I'm hopelessly in love with my girlfriend. I blow the candles anyway and everyone claps. "Well ladies I have to run, thank you for having me." Ed says hugging all of us, he is amazing. "Thank you so much for coming, you're the best birthday gift ever." I say waving goodbye and he leaves laughing. "I'm never going to be able to thank you guys enough, that was freaking epic! I can't believe you didn't tell me about this Lolo." I say smiling at her. "Oh I had no idea." She says chuckling. "We decided not to tell her, if she knew then she would've told you and our surprise would've been ruined." Dinah says laughing. "She's right, I can't keep things from you." Lauren tells me staring into me eyes. "Except what I have planned for tonight of course." She says with a smirk and I put my hand on her thigh. "I can't wait." I say moving my hand up and down. This has been an amazing birthday so far, I can't believe the girls would do so much for me. I'm so blessed to have them in my life, I really am. Suddenly my phone buzzes.

My shaky hand drops my phone. "Camz are you okay?" Lauren asks me and I shake my head. Of course I'm not okay.
