ii. shark finn

Finn held up the can of spray paint and grinned at his work.

The locker, which was once a dull grey, was now fill with penises of shades of red. He didn't give a shit if he got caught, he was going to do whatever he wanted regardless. Finn had no care for authority.

"Fucking tosser," he muttered, in a heavy English accent.

He spray painted the captain of the football team, Jonah Kingston's locker.

Jonah insulted Finn on his lack of ability to throw and catch a football.

Well, Finn thought comically, I hope he won't question my ability to throw a punch and shag his girlfriend.

He dropped the can when he heard footsteps around the corner. His heart rate slowed when he realized it was just a girl.

A pretty girl, he might add. She was taller than average and her hair was piled atop her head, making it easy for Finn to discern her features. Her high cheekbones and pouty lips were enough to gain his undivided attention and halt what he was doing at the lockers.

The girl walked through the hallway, her head down as she speed walked. No scrutiny was paid as she meandered the corridor, and most certainly none was being paid to Finn.

"Hey," he said to her, giving her a smile.

She ignored him and continued to head down the hall. Confused, he furrowed his brows. He then saw the wire snaking out from her ears and realized she was listening to music. Walking beside her, Finn plucked an earbud from her ear and stood in front of her. "Hi."

She jumped back in shock. "H-hello."

"I'm-" she cut him off before he could finish his sentence.

"Mathias Finnegan," she finished, looking down at the ground. It was true, everyone in the school knew who the Cannibals were so this didn't faze him.

"Call me Finn," he corrected her with a smile.

"Okay, Finn," the girl said quietly.

He shook his head. "No need to be scared, love. You act as if I'm going to eat you."

She let a small smile illuminate her face. "Well, then why are you and your friends called the Cannibals?"

He paused for a moment, thinking about it for a second. That was a really good question. He knew why they formed, but him and his friends knew what that meant. For some reason, he felt obliged to tell her their group secret but at the last moment, he opted out.

"I don't know," he answered lamely, not knowing what else to say.

The smile got wider. "Well, when you find out you let me know, Finn. See you around."

Finn watched her walk down the hallway with interest.

Who was that girl?

Finn shook his head and continued his trek down the hallway in the opposite direction. He had to visit the Cannibal's room, and collect everything before school was over.
