Alpha's Abused Mate

Chapter 2

Zander's P.O.V(pic of Zander on side)

Today was the day, I can smell her. My wolf was going nuts considering it has been a couple months since I turned 18. The age I find my mate. I hopped out of bed and headed to my wardrobe to find something to wear. I finally decided to wear a black muscle shirt with skinny jeans that hung low on my waist and some converse . I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth and hair. . I looked at the mirror checking my appereance and approving.

I walked out of my suite and went to the kithcen. I stopped mid step when the most amazing scent caught my attention. I took a deep breath and it smelt like morning dew and roses. I felt my wolf stur then purr.

Mate. Was all I heard him say before sprinting out the door in search of my angel. I stopped when the scent was at it's peak and what I saw surprised me. Two girls were sitting in each others arms the eldest stroking the others hair. Once they noticed I was there, they stood up and backed away. I felt hurt go through me but I covered my pain.

"What are you two doing out here?" I asked corious to why the were in the woods. I realized that they were human so I couldn't claim her right now like I wanted to. They looked at me a minute before responding.

"P-please don't hurt us. We are just staying here." The oldest one answered. I looked at her confused. They are in the middle of the woods why are they staying here. Why would she think I would hurt her?

I took a step towards only to have them flinch before me. My beautiful mate looked guilty that she cause me pain and walked up to me. What shocked me is that she hugged me and just before she was scared of me. I automatically hugged her back. I put my face in the crook of her neck and breathed in.

"What's you're name?" I asked finally after what seemed like forever. She broke away and walked back over to her sister, I suppose, and I understood.

"I'm Secret and this is my sister Rose. We ran away from home." I'm surprised that she actually told me but by the looks in her eye there was more to tell. I looked at her waiting for her to go on but she never did. I sighed and slowly walked up to them.

"I'm not going to hurt you I promise. My names Zander. You guys can come live with me. Secret since both of us are in the same school I could take you guys to school everyday." Secret and Rose looked surprised that I was being nice to them. This time Rose ran up to me crying and embraced me in a hug. Her head only came up to about my mid chest. I laughed and hugged her small frame.

"Thank so much Zander. And take care of my sister I know you like her and she likes you back." I chuckled at that and let her go. I motioned for them to follow me and they grabbed their stuff and did. We walked about a mile until we made it to the packhouse. I heard them gasp at the size but I kept walking.

Secret's P.O.V

We followed Zander out of our spot in the woods. I wonder why he is helping us, he doesn't even know us. I was grateful he was helping me and my sister. I already had a small crush on him that I am scared of. We finally make it to his house after about a mile of walking. I gasped at the size and so did Rose. He just kept walking til we made it to the front door.

"You live here?" I asked shocked. Zander nodded and chuckled.

"There is about 20 people that live here. We have one extra room so one of you is going to have to share with me because a girl is staying in that room too. I asked her if she wanted to share and she is fine with it. Also she is about Rose's age." Zander explained. I let it all sink in before I realised that I had to share a room with a guy.

"Can I share with you. I feel most comfortable with you." I stated then blushed at what I said. Zander's face lit up like a Christmas tree. He nodded then we headed inside. When you first walk in there is a big living room with and L shaped couch and a flatscreen tv. I stared amazed. I never had stuff like this in my life. Rose was behind me looking around with amazement on her face. Zander just kept walking and we finally made it to a set of stairs. We climbed to the second floor and stooped at the third door on the right.

"This is your room Rose. Danielle is the one you're staying with. Dani where are you?" Zander explained also calling for Dani. A girl that looked about 15 appeared. She had black hair and green eyes. She looked between me, Rose and Zander before a smile showed on her face.

"Yes, Alpha." Dani answered. I looked at her confused. Who was Alpha? Zander saw my confusion and sighed.

"I will tell you later Secret. Dani, Rose is going to be staying with you." Zander stated before nodding and walking away. I gave Rose a hug before following Zander. We went up another flight of stairs and there was only three doors. Zander opened the first door on the left. I looked inside to see a king size bed with 2 more doors. I am assuming they were the bathroom and closet.

"So this is my room. I know you probably don't have much clothes so we will go get some tomorrow." Zander said. I looked at him like he was crazy. I didn't want to take his money.

"You don't have to buy me cl-" I was cut off when Zander shook his head.

"It is my pleasure. I want to treat you right. Now are you going to tell me why you ran away?" Zander asked. I gulped.

"Are you going to tell me why Dani called you Alpha?" I countered. Zander looked shocked at my confidence but sighed knowing I got him.

"You answer first I think mine is more complicated." Zander said siting down on the bed. I followed suit and sat next to him.

"Okay so first me and my sister are foster kids. I was not aloud to leave and be a legal guardian of her until I was 17. We have been living with abusive parents for the past 3 years. They put Rose and I threw hell since I was 14 and she was 12." I explained tears falling out of my eyes. Zander's eyes were pitch black. I scooted away a little but he growled and pulled me into him.

"Zander you're scaring. Please let me go." I started to cry harder. He pulled away and looked like he was mad at himself. He got off the bed and sat in the corner in a fetal position. I walked over to him and pulled him out of his position. I hestitated before crawling in his lap, straddling him and hugged him. Zander hugged back shoving his head in the crook of my neck.

"I'm sorry I scared you. I should probably tell you what I am now. Please don't run from me I need you. Um the reason why Dani called me Alpha is because this is a pack and that's what you are supposed to call me. I'm a werewolf. The reason my eyes were black is because my wolf was mad that somebody hurt you. I know that this all sounds crazy but it's true. I know you feel a pull towards me like you have to comfort me and be with me. That's because you are my mate. A mate is like your other half. If you want to see my wolf just ask but please don't leave me." Zander finally finished explaining. I looked at him minute before smiling.

"I know about werewolves. My best friend is a werewolf. She has a mate and told me what they were. Now I know why I feel a pull towards you. I accept you and I never will leave you." I told him. He looked excited that I accepted him.

"Can i please see your wolf or at least talk to him." I asked sweetly. Zander looked unsure but I really wanted to see.

"Um he is kinda mad right now. He wants to kill the people that hurt you." Zander explained rubbing the back of his neck.

"Let me talk to him now. He can not go kill them and I'm going to tell him that." I argued crossing my arms. Zander sighed before closing his eyes. When he opened them again they were glowing.
