Lunch and Practice

Start from the beginning

"Thanks James." He smirked at me. I turned to the crowd of people who were staring at me. "I've got to go, err- emergency quidditch practice. It was nice seeing all of you!" I said happily. They all mumbled goodbyes and after a round of hugs, I apparated to the quidditch pitch.

"So the reason I've called you guys here was to tell you some splendid news!" Samantha started. All of the team, who were all in their quidditch  gear, began to whisper excitedly. "Shh! Anyway, the League Cup is coming up, and a couple of months ago we were crushed by the Pride of Portree." She paused. "Well, yesterday evening, someone called me and informed me that two of the players on said team were actually using their wands during the game, which automatically disqualifies them-"

"Does that mean we are back in the cup?" Emma asked excitedly. Samantha nodded and smiled. Everyone erupted in cheers and there were hugs all around. I had absolutely no idea what was going on, but I joined in on the hugs and cheering.

"Quiet! Quiet!" Samantha said, and everyone hushed. "Now, since we're back in the cup, we've got to train harder, faster and longer. Practices will be extended one hour and you are expected to do your very best and each said practice, am I clear?" There was a chorus of 'yes.' "Good, now mount up!"

The team practiced new drills and formations, the more complicated one was the Hawkshead Attacking formation. That involved all three chasers and they had to fly in a triangular shape to obtain the quaffle. The problem was that either one part of the trianlge was to high or to low, making it lopsided.

Samantha had me work on the Plumpton pass, but I was already a master at that, teaching myself that very pass in my days at Hogwarts. She also had the two beaters working on the move known as the Bludger Backbeat.

Overall? Practice was tough.

When she blew the whistle, which called practice to an end, I raced to the locker rooms, grabbed all of my stuff and quickly changed back into the blue dress. I brushed my hair, taming it down and put it in a tight bun. I tied my shoes, and headed to the door. The team had only just arrived. "Going somewhere Weasley?" Jordan joked. I smiled at her, grabbing my wand from my locker.

"It's Malfoy honey." I giggled. "And I'm heading to Hogsmeade. I'll see you all on Monday!" I called out. I apparated to Hogsmeade, and a gust of cold wind hit me. "Oh it's sooo cold!" I squeaked, clutching my bag.

I walked down the row of shops, taking a quick look into the windows. I received a wave when I looked into Tomes and Scrolls, which was a bookshop I used to visit often. I finally found all my cousins and Teddy at Spintwitches, a shop where they sold sporting goods. "Hey guys." I sighed, when I finally reached them.

"Hey Bells! Glad you could join us." Victoire said, looking through replica practice jersey's for the Chudley Cannons. "Did yo usee the Holyhead Harpy gear over there?" She asked, pointing to a rack with bright orange shirts and sweaters.

I walked over and took a look, laughing quietly. "I don't need any of this stuff! I could get it for free." I pointed out. This seemed to get the shopkeepers attention. "I do need to get a sweater for my dad, if he is going to one of my games, he's got to be prepared."

I grabbed a simple shirt and brought it up to the till. He eyes me suspiciously. "You are on a quidditch team?" He asked, his voice rather deep. I smiled gently at him.

"Yes, I'm no the Holyhead Harpies." I replied. His eyes lit up and a smile appeared on his face. "I'm the new seeker."

"Oh wow! That's amazing!" He cried. I handed him the required amount of money. "I heard that you guys are back in the cup, is it true?" He asked. I grinned at him.

"It sure is!" I said, before taking the shirt and putting it in my bag. "They caught two people on Portree with their wands at the game, jinxing the Harpies brooms."

"Bella! Come one!" Teddy called. I gave the shopkeeper a smile. "It was nice meeting you sir." I said before scampering out the store.

We went to every single shop in Hogsmeade, laughing and smiling, and overall having a good time. I bought some gifts for people, just little tokens. At every shop I ended up buying something for my dad. I don't know why I did it, but when I saw something that reminded me of him, I just had to get it.

Sad news in the life of Wren.. My kitty died :(

She was 18, so we've had her since before I was born. She was also my first pet, so I'm a bit torn right now.

Some better news though, my friend's sister had a successful heart and lung transplant!

Hope everyone's having a good time and they are safe!

<3 Wren
