What's going on?

After Christmas break, Madeline, Teddy and Arabella returned to Hogwarts. Arabella continued to hang out with Toby whenever he was around. Toby usually hung out with Peeves now that his mum wasn't around. When Arabella wasn't with Toby, you would find her with Elliot.

Today was the last day of the term! Second year was finally over! Arabella makes her way to the Great Hall for breakfast for her final breakfast as a Second Year.

Arabella pov

"Toby! Where are you?" I called out. This boy is honestly never here anymore. "Toby!" I called out again. I found him talking to.. Professor McGongall? I walked over to them and he greeted me happily.

"Hey Bells! Guess what?" He asked excitedly. And when I mean excited, he was grinning ear to ear.

"Err.. what?" I asked, plucking my wand into my old Gryffindor hoodie.

"I'm going to stay here for the summer!" He squeaked. I felt my face fall and my heart beat quicker. Why is he staying here? Doesn't he want to stay with me over the summer?

"T-That's great!" I stuttered. "You will visit over the summer though, right?" He nodded and then flew away. I walked over to the Gryffindor table and found Madeline talking to Pierre.. again. "Hey Maddie, you going to sit with me and Elliot on the train?" I asked. She looked at me awkwardly.

"Erm. I promised to sit with Pierre and a couple of my Ravenclaw friends." She said before returning to her conversation with Pierre. I took that as a way of telling me to leave her alone. So further along the Gryffindor table, where it was empty, I sat down and took a bite of my toast.

Did I say something too harsh? Was I not being a good friend? Why does nobody want to hang out with me? Am I just a bad person overall? I sat there staring at the goblet of pumpkin juice for a very long time. I whipped my head up when two people sat in front of me.

It was Elliot and Professor Malfoy. "Oh, hello professor, Elliot. What can I do for you?" I asked them. Elliot looked at his father pleadingly and he nodded.

"Well Bells, I just asked my dad if you could stay tonight for dinner. He said yes and I was wondering if you were up for it." He asked happily. A smile formed on my face and I nodded.

"I'd like that, thank you Professor, Elliot." They both smiled and started to eat. "Um, so do you have a brother or sister?" I asked Elliot. His face lit up.

"Yes! I have a little brother named Scorpius! Spitting image of my father, he is. But be careful, he likes to pull pranks on me and would love to have a new vitctim." Elliot said while stuffing bacon in his mouth. I laughed as he smiled with food still in his mouth.

"Yea, I need to talk to him about that." Professor Malfoy said. While he was looking down, I studied his face. He looked exactly like the description Uncle Harry gave me. He looked up and noticed me staring.

"Um. Professor, did you know my mum?" I blurted suddenly. He smiled sympathetically at me.

"Yes, actually, I did. Quite the prankster she was! I was usually her victim, but it was all in good fun!" He said while laughing. "There was this one prank, she threw these bomb things at the Slytherin table and it change our gender! It was horrifying." He smiled. Elliot and I burst into laughter.

"Wow. I feel like I barely even knew my mum." I whispered. This caught both the Malfoy's attention. "I knew her for a year, and even then I couldn't even hold her."
