NIPD: Team Alpha

"Stop staring at me, like I am a criminal." I didn't notice that Chase is already turned and looking at me now.

I blink twice and turn my gaze.

"Guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt" Chase shake his head and smirking at me.

"No, I'm not." I tried to make my voice firm, but it sounds like I almost choke when I said 'not'.

He turn his head again and look away. I turn also snapping at him and look away too.

NIPD's Look Out in Adventure bay is not what you will expect as a camp for a well-train-personnel-like-soldier group of people. Actually we are not really a soldier since they are a government employee.

NIPD is like Avengers if you want to think that. Saving people, helping government to save the word, maintain peace and order, but without a power. A man maid power ,maybe, I think we have. Practice, gadget and guns.

We all step out from the bus looking at the amazing and beautiful -who can tell it is a- base. On my left stands Rubble and Marshall, my right are Chase, Rocky and Zuma.

"Who told us that we're not going into vacation?" Marshall mumble while amazed also by the building in front of us.

I look behind my shoulder and saw Chase, he himself is also as amazed. He closed his eyes and clear his throat.

"We need to head inside" He utter and start to walk to the two sliding door of the building.

I smile and look at my colleagues, they are smiling too and start to walk, so I follow them.

Inside the building, Chase abruptly stop so we stop also to look what he saw.

A girl wearing gray coverall but the top of it is folded into her waist and paired with a white fitted tank top. Her blonde hair are pulled up for a messy bun. She is so beautiful.

She smile when she saw and walk toward us.  "Hi! Welcome to Adventure Bay. Rider told me earlier that you guys are coming today." She looks at her hand and I notice that it is dirty with I think a grease from a vehicle. "Sorry, you had me  at my worst." showing her hands "I am fixing something outside. By the way I am Everest." I smile when I heard her name, I think her name is cool it is the highest mountain in the world.

"I am Marshall, It doesn't matter if your hand is greasy." He said hurriedly and reaching the right hand of Everest and shake it.

Rocky Pull the girl's hand from Marshall and shake it with his two hands. "Me neither, I am Rocky."

The smile of Everest on her lips reach her lightest green color of eyes. "Hi." retrieving her hand.

"I am Rubble and that's Zuma, Chase and Skye." Rubble on my side introducing us and just wave to Everest.

"Yeah, I remember Ryder mention one of the member named Skye, Inever imagine she's a girl." She look at me and smile. "I am glad and happy. At least there will be another girl here in our base." she continue.

I just nod and say "Hi! Nice to meet you Everest."

She nod too and look at Chase at my side.

Chase is just looking at her with nothing expression on his face. He just looking at her,standing straight, bag hangs on his shoulder  and both hands are on his side packets.

I look back again to Everest who is now with a small smile on his face and with expression that I don't know what. Admiration? Longing? I don't know. They are just looking at each other like no one is around. Even Marshall fake a cough, they don't even blink a moment.
