3rd Person

After the telling of her story, everyone looks over to her sleeping, floating body. It took a while for anyone to say anything as Lord Yama sipped his tea with no expression on his face. "You said you had trained her. Is she much stronger than she was? Can she use her other magics still?" Gray asked, worried his mother's legacy and Fuego's, although they had never met, power would be lost forever. "Most probably. But she would have to unlock the memories of when she changed for them." Yama explained, clearing his throat after. Ever since there first encounter, the group of teens could tell he was weak, and the mentions off his rebirth happening soon confirmed their suspicions. "Can't you just unlock them? You're a God after all!" Natsu exclaimed, panicked and angry that Lucy hadn't awoken yet. "If I could, I would. But it seems being stabbed by the blade has given her a strong amnesia. Something only a Sleep God could fix. Sadly, all Gods of that caliber have been in hibernation for centuries." They all sweat dropped at this new, now unneeded information. "When will she even wake. Is it healthy that she is asleep for this long?" Wendy asked, walking up the the floating mage. "I wouldn't advise you touch her." Lord Yama poured more tea into his cup just as Wendy was to touch her. "Why not?" Erza slowly pulled Wendy back and onto her lap just in case something were to happen. "How do you think she's floating? I'm using a force field to to keep her up right. Also, her magic tends to com bust when she is asleep." Yama stated as if it were nothing, as the mages inched back in fear of injury.

Little did they know, while the lord was joking about correct information, the long lost friend was having a real war in her head.

Lucy's PoV

After a collapsed, everything felt different. I was having a dream, but it felt more real. I was predicting what was happening next. There was a gorgeous woman with long, white, braided hair. She was standing on a balcony, looking up at a blood red sky, the ground below her a sheet of fluffy snow with people, ogres, and animals alike playing on it. Her smooth, brown eyes sparked with proud and joy as her pale face dawned a strong pose, that of a triumphant leader. Her long blue robes flowed behind her and down her strengthened arms, covering her paled hands. Her body figure was extremely similar, maybe even identical, to mine. In fact, I recognised everything about her.

After a while, this winter wonder land with red skies that seemed almost calming to me, an ominous feeling came over the scene. Slowly, the peaceful skies were filled with smoke and large creatures flying around. The once freshly cleaned snow almost blended with the sky, stained with the blood of her people. The high, mountain palace that formerly gave hope the the people was shattered, the ice it was made of either melting or impaling  the guards. The previously delighted and fulfilled queen was crying in her hidden chambers, a letter in one hand as she rested her weary head on her bed. The letter was from her lover. Her once in a life time. Her first time in forever. He had written it himself, delivered to her by an underling.

Dear My Love,

I wish I did not have to write this letter. I wish this war on our land had never started. I wish the only conflict our races would have is what flavour of tea is the greatest. But my all mighty king has gone too far this time, and it is time for me to take my leave.

I cannot bare to be apart from you any longer. This rivalry our lands have, it is too much for me to bare. It sickens me that the last time we saw one another is at a declaration of war.

That is why, to end future star crossed lovers being separated by hate, I have sacrificed my magic, mind, and soul to humans. Unfortunately, to do so, to save the woman I love and her people, I must pass on to the next world. I have been creating a blade to complete my mission, something I have been working on for some time now. If it is successful, you will receive this letter. If you are willing to join me on to the next life, in a time when this war is over, that same blade will be included in the package.

I wish it didn't have to be this way, but at this moment, there does not seem to be another choice. I have grown to despise dragons, my own race, the family that raised me. Even my closest comrades do not trust any longer. They have heard the rumours about us. So my time is soon to come anyway, but at least this way you know my death is not in vain.

If you choose to join me, to lend your powers to the humans, ensuring their victory against blood craving monster, I shall be waiting at the gates of heaven.

Until next time, Elsa.

The Goddess was heart broken. Her fiance, if only in secret, had killed himself for her. She knew what she had to do, what she had to do for Jack, she had the strength, and using his blade, she could feel him in physical form one last time. She took the blue and silver blade from its pouch, an old piece of rag her king dragon must have found in the underground cave he had to find himself in to escape his own realm's mercenaries. She traced her malnutritioned fingers along the jewels of its handle, feeling perfectly at piece with the decision she had just made. If it were for her people, she would do it. If she could be with Jack forever, she would do it. If it were for victory, she would do anything.

She positioned the tip at her chest, a light emitting from it. I was going to scream desperately for her to stop, that no one was worth it, but I agreed with her entirely, as if I had been in her position in another life. As blood drew from her bare chest, the light grew brighter. When she was dead, the light exploded, the blade digging itself in further. Her magic blew out of her, erupting from every finger tip, toe, strand of hair, and her mouth. Blue light blew holes in the walls, ceiling, and floor, travelling to the chosen children who would carry her magic on to further generations.

This is how god slaying started? This is how slayers started. I thought to myslef, looking down at my hands as they got paler. I knew who I was now. All my memories came flooding back. The memories of Fairytail, of my brother. The adventures I had with Team Natsu and the other guilds. The horrors of my childhood and previous masters. Of Galuna Island and my teachings to Happy of my magic.

Finally, the long forgotten memory of my past life. From centuries ago. I was Queen Else, Goddess to the Ice people. Ruling the mountain land and all of its creature. I started slayer magic. I fought for my love. I battle against beliefs.  My partner, Jack Frost, King of the Ice Dragons, and I saved humanity, carried on life. We fought together, even if we were the furthest apart.

As the light died out in the scene before me, a woman walked out from it, my former person lying dead on the floor. "I am glad you finally remembered, my dear." The ghost of Elsa smiled at me, not using her lips to speak. "My lady. I apoligise. Thank for saving our people." I immediately kneeled with my head down, only now noticing the short, sparkling, blue dress, simialr to my goddess', but it only covered my shoulders. "Rise Lucy, you are basically me after all." She laughed, still not moving her lips as she lifted my chin up with her index finger. "I see you have grown strong since we last met. I am glad I chose you." She nodded, satisfied. We had met in a dream before I was born. "I have betrayed to, my queen. How could I ever repay you." I stood up, my head still lowered in a sign of respect. "I am proud of you, my child. At least you chose a dragon that supported our cause." She laughed. "You may even be stronger than me by now." She added. "You seem you have had a little make over since we last met too, I'm afraid this will only add to the colour." She picked up a strand of my hair, half of it purple, half of it blonde. "I have grown quite fond of it actually." I smiled, picking up my own locks to play with as she dropped it.

Suddenly, her body got clearer for a moment. "It seems you are waking up, my child." She showed a painful smiled, not opening her mouth once. "I will get in contact again if needed." She started stepping backwards into the light behind her. "Good luck, Lucy." She finally opened her mouth, my parents, Jack, and Lord Yama appearing for a split second.

Wait, that means.... Oh God!
