Chapter 9

I have watched 4 movies already but I am still bored. The fact that I am alone in my unit adds to it tho magisa lang naman talaga ako dito. Kaya I called Sam, I told her I am bored and her ‘bar mode’ kicked in and in the end, napapayag niya ako pumunta sa bar niya. She also called Alexa to join with us.
As I am opening my door, I see Kyle. Aalis din yata siya, nakapangalis eh. Ngumiti na lang ako ng pilit kapitbahay e. kaso wala yatang respeto ang lalaking to at hindi man lang ako nginitian.
Nauna na akong lumakad at sumakay ng elevator. I guess, she did let me go first para di niya ko makasabay. Well, wala ako pake.

“Eto na nga. I’m outside. Is Alexa here already?” I say.
“Yeah. She just arrived. Pumasok ka na.”
“Okay.” I go in as I bump into few shoulders. Being the famous bar in our place, it is already packed with a lot of people partying and having drinks. “Hey.” I say as I walk toward them. Agad akong lumapit sa kanila and sit.
“Hey.” Alexa answers and smiles. “Oh. Drink it. All on my tub.”
I just shrug and drink it. “By the way, may ipapakilala pala ako sainyo. I met him kanina lang. He is so hot, promise.” Sino pa ba? Edi si Sam.
“Why am I not surprised, Sam?” Alexa asks mockingly.
"Bakit? Sinusurprise ba kita? Tss. Eh..sa ganun talaga pag maganda.” Sam looks smugly. “If you don’t want, kay Meg ko na lang papakilala. Right, Meg?”
I shake my head. “I am just buying time here not wanting to meet guys.”
“Nakakainis. Ang boboring niyo lang. At least, tell me you want to meet the guy I’ve met a while ago. Nasan naman ang suporta dun mga best friends?” Sam pouts.
“Fine. Fine. Ipapakilala mo lang naman e.” Sabi ko ng matapos na.
Sam claps her hands. “Yes! Wait. I think I just saw him. I’ll just get him, okay?” Hindi na niya hinintay ang sagot namin ni Alexa. Agad na siyang umalis , nagkatinginan na lang kami ni Alexa and shrug.
True enough, after a few seconds, dumating na si Sam kasama yung lalaki. Pogi nga. Malaki din ang katawan. He is wearing a plain white fitted t-shirt, kita tuloy yung abs niya but it is not my weakness kaya I’m not interested not like Sam. Sam likes guys with abs, yung mga lalaking nagggym daw.
“Meg, Alexa, meet Grey.” Sam says cheerfully as she hugs the left arm of Grey’s.
I give him a small smile and a nod. He smiles and winks at me. Tss. Tumingin naman si Grey kay Alexa. Alexa gives her a small wave and a ‘hi’ which Grey answers willingly.
“Are you girls having fun?” Sam asks us.
“Yeah.” Alexa answers. I think her phone is ringing kaya she gives us a signal na may kakausapin lang siya outside. Ewan ko lang pero parang nag-light up yung face niya when she read the caller’s name.
“Meg, how’s Kyle?” Sam asks shouting over the music after she sipped from her Jack Daniel’s drink.
My brows furrow because of the sudden question. Bakit niya sa akin tinatanong si Kyle? Are we that close para pagtanungan niya ako?
“Eh diba partners kayo dun sa project niyo? How is he as a partner?”
“I don’t know.” I answer loud enough for her to hear then sip at my drink.
