Sombra is a woman mostly made of mischief. Yuu recently pointed out that she does it for boredom, since we took a vast majority of the jobs in her area.

"Okay, so- Hyacinth shut up for one minute-" Sombra was saying from the intercom system of the building we had just broken into. My AI silenced herself immediately, although she did grumble about how she only did it because she was being persistent. "Alyssum isn't really all that dangerous."

"He's killed more people this week than Beast has in a month," Yuu pointed out.

"Because he's on the move," Hyacinth pitched in, disobeying orders from those above her. It made me proud, actually. "Which means that he has more opportunities for victims than him. Although your trips to France and England sure do make quite the chaos. Especially if you consider Alyssum joining in on your last one- Ghost, why is Beast pulling coffee cups out of your bag."

"He likes caffeine," Yuu shrugged, amused by Sombra's reaction to me panicking and packing coffee before we had left on the mission. "And it is one in the morning."

"Why are we here again?" I asked, expecting Hyacinth to answer me. Instead, I got three jumbled responses. Yuu's was the most prominent, unfortunately.

"Steal some shit and make mistakes?" He proposed. I had decided that that answer was satisfactory enough.

"So the firewall of this security system is exceptionally weak, which is confusing since we're in L.A," Sombra was saying. "Therefore there might be a physical defense system. Like a motion sensor alarm."

"Hyacinth?"

"On your right," she instructed in a bird-like voice. "Want me to deactivate it?"

"Go ahead. But you seem to be in a good mood today," I commented as I turned a corner with Yuu. I heard the motion sensor short circuit a second later. "Which is rare for you."

"It's a new location. And you're in a merciful mood as well."

"You think so low of me to assume I would kick Sombra out of the intercom, don't you?"

"Yes. I do in fact think that you would remove Persephone from any sort of control."

"Have you done that before?" Yuu asked from my side, powering on a computer at the wall.

"Yes . . . Several times. To you, actually."

"Wow. Rude," He murmured, pulling a file open on the computer. I offered him no apology as I began scanning through the desks in the room, all facing the center of the room in a U shape.

"He probably doesn't regret it in the slightest, knowing him," Sombra whispered although her voice was projected to the entire room.

"Of course he doesn't. I've watched him lock his friend out of his own office with only a dead look in his eyes."

Cecil had hated me that day. I locked him out of his office so I could clean it up, the space becoming exceptionally messy for some odd reason. I had removed 52 bic lighters and 700 spam emails in one sitting.

Just as I was about to ask Sombra how she had known my tendencies, a voice in the back of my head told me that she quite possibly watched over me without my knowledge. Which meant that Hyacinth or Cynthia either didn't process her breaching the systems, or didn't care to tell.

Hm.

"I got the physical files," I said over my shoulder to Yuu, who was currently lounging back in his seat with his googles on his head.

"Great. I just need to delete a couple things that this poor soul won't notice until it's too late, then we're set!" He chirped as I sauntered to his backside.

"You're getting rid of antivirus, aren't you?" I sighed, burrowing my nose into his neck, arms slung over his shoulders.

"Yup! Leaving him a little present when he tries to bring back the lost files. Or when he goes onto Google. He's just gonna get a lot of dinosaurs, basically,"

"Only you can decide that that's a sound thing for a member in the black market to go through with."

"Nah, Pension's done it before. Except instead of dinosaurs every time they powered on the computer a hyena laughing would play on full volume," Sombra informed us. "Also, Stop being in love for like five seconds, you two. Nasty."

"Sombra, aren't you twice our age? You shouldn't have a place to speak," Yuu pointed out as he shut off the computer. "You... have been in love before, right?"

"Once. Never again."

"Security pulling up. Make a run for it," Hyacinth said quickly, once more in my ear.

"Yuu," I whispered, pulling on his hand. "We have to go." He blinked at me for a moment, lips parted as if he was going to argue. Then a serious look crossed his face, night vision goggles falling over his eyes.

"Alright."

"Beast," Sombra said, voice a whisper from my TV's speaker. "I have a question."

"And it was important enough to interrupt me?"

"You were arguing with an AI about the Kardashians. I think I've done you a favor."

She did in fact have a point on that.

"Go on, then. I'll answer your question. But it should be on the files accessible by you," I sighed, leaning my head over the back of the couch.

"Why do you call Ghost 'pet'? You seem to forget when I'm watching you and that's what I've heard you refer to him as. If it's some kind of kink you don't have to answer-"

"It's not that. Even you should know that. I can control him like a pet. And teach him new tricks. But neither of those facts change that he adores me as if I were the only person in the world, or the leash that's on him," I explained after cutting her off before she could finish.

"Oh. Wow. That was deeper than I expected. I'm definitely not going to add that to your files. Pension would murder me and then both you and your Ghost for how that was phrased," she laughed nervously. "Well, that's all."

"Good night, Sombra."

"I- ..."

"Good night, Beast."
