i get so emotional over death note
i just found an old amv fave of mine and i just almost cried because of light
like he was such a pure baby, he wanted to make the world better and he always kept wanting that. people think his main goal was to kill l but in his eyes he had to so he could help everyone who was good. he deserved the world to be honest, he and l both did. just because he puts the death note, and therefor humanity's wellbeing, above the life of his own father doesn't mean he's an awful character. he used his intelligence to his advantage to try to achieve the very best he could with it for everyone.
light yagami is an amazing and complex character who, in many ways pro- and regresses and the world should know.
also misa is such a precious girl. think about it; she's a model, she probably doesn't know real love, and in a way she finds comfort in light and works hard to get what she wants. she's dedicated and valuable to the plot and absolutely precious and loyal. if your favourite k-pop female idol were to act like her, face it, you'd probably find her cute.
