A/N: I, Glyn, started writing this book with Stina and Lolitroy, aka Loli. Stina lost motivation when we were about ten chapters into the story, so the rest is all written by Loli and me.

UNFORTUNATELY, LOLI AND I NO LONGER WRITE TOGETHER NOW. THIS BOOK IS AS GOOD AS FINISHED, BUT THERE WILL BE NO MORE NEW CONTENT. I WILL NOT BE WRITING ANY ONE-SHOTS OR SEQUELS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, SO PLEASE DON'T ASK.

ENJOY READING.

The video I added to this chapter is how you should pronounce Thijmen's name.

1) 'Helping Is Fun' And Other Lies They Tell You In High School

It was a beautiful day. Birds sang, flowers bloomed, the sun shone, and the world came to an end the moment Thijmen de Bruin walked into the room.

Benjamin's mouth hung open.

Judging from his parents' reactions, their first impression of the boy was not that stellar, either. The principal cleared her throat uneasily. "As... as I was saying, the primary goal of this project is for the more privileged classes to help a person in need. The boys chosen for this are especially selected. De Bruin has led a rough life."

"So I suppose," whispered Benjamin's mother to her husband, "Getting tattoos hurts. Especially in the behind."

If Benjamin had been drinking coffee, he would have spit it. "Ma."

Mercifully, this seemed to pass mostly unnoticed.

"So... we here at Godner High are very grateful and... appreciate... your gesture, so selflessly offering to take the— de Bruin in to stay with you."

Benjamin, along with his parents, nodded along to every piece of information the principal fed them with, despite having been emailed the week prior. One may still wonder if this painful process was merely to scare the family, have them realize that if this was bad, opening up a Bed&Breakfast for a foreign possible-fugitive, would not be a walk in the park, either.
