Today you decided to eat at your favorite burger joint, or place in general that served burgers. You didn't eat them all the time, but having one every now and again perfectly filled the empty space in your stomach.

As you walked up to it, you noticed a lack of customers. Are they closed? You look through the windows, there were people inside, just not many happy people. You walked in and many people started walking out the door unhappy and angry.

"Can't believe this."
"ALL sold out?! They've hardly just opened!"
"They DON'T have extra supplies in the back?"

Hmm? You were quite confused by this, but shrugged it off. "Ma'am, I'll take your order." You walked to the cashier, they seemed a bit stressed out, but you didn't want to bother them by asking why.

"Yes, I'll have a cheeseburger and a large fry with (Favorite Soda)." You manage to say with a smile. Even if it was just a tad bit overdone, you didn't want to end up stressing the cashier out more then they already looked.

"Sorry, we don't have the available ingredients to make your burger, but we can supply the fries and soda if that's alright." The cashier said, with a hint of ... Disappointment? In their voice.

"Oh... Well, that's alright. Then just the fries and soda." You pay for your small meal then sit down at one of the many empty tables and await for your food to arrive. You took out your phone and started to play some games, check your social media, and or read some good fanfictions you had been waiting to read. Then you get interrupted...

A chair gets pulled up to your table across from you and a loud voice suddenly breaks the silence. "What's up dudete? You seem to be the only one who's actually ordered and stayed! Now I don't have to be alone!" Cue the loud slurping from his empty soda cup. Doesn't he know he can get free refills instead of drinking air?!

You look up to see a man with a bombers jacket and a strange cowlick/curl in his dirty-blonde hair. His eyes were actually, if you had to admit, a beautiful shade of blue, almost like the evening sky on a cloudless day. You decided to finally answer him, but not knowing him, you were cautious and a bit quiet. "I'm... pretty good... How about yourself?"

"Me? Well, the hero is always in a fantastic mood! Especially if he gets the chance to talk to a pretty girl like you~" He clicks his tongue at the end and his voice got a bit quieter. Wait, quieter?

You shake your head and sigh in annoyance, "Look, I don't even know who you are at all and you're flirting with me? That's kind of rude, don't you think? At least tell me your name and get to know each other before going down that road." The man puts his cup down and looks at the table.

"Sorry... Well, I'm Alfred F. Jones. Just call me the hero! And you are?" Alfred holds out his hand to you across the table.

"I'm (F/N) (M/N/I) (L/N)." You clasp your hand with his, shake his hand, then let go. "So, do you have any idea why there aren't many people here today?"

Alfred laughs nervously, "Well... I tend to have quite the appetite when it comes to burgers like these. And I may or may not have ordered so many that they can't make anymore till their next supply delivery."

"... That's got to be illegal to do so many times..." You muttered under your breath.

"Ma'am, here's your soda and fries." A friendly, almost shy waitress , places a tray in between you and Alfred that held your fries and drink. You nodded in thanks and she walked off back to the kitchen.

"Oh, did you order a burger too?" Alfred asked curiously.

"Yeah." You took a fry and popped it into your mouth. "Thanks to you I can't get one though." Looking away as you chew, you hear rummaging and then out of the corner of your eye you see him hold something out to you.
