Chapter 21

Jade's POV

So here I am in the car with my mum and Harry on the way to the airport to pick up Gemma. She's coming home for about two weeks. I'm really excited to meet her in person. I had met her before but that was by video call. It's a two-hour drive and we have been on the road for about 30 minutes now. So it's still 1 and a half hours to go. The radio is on but there isn't good music on. Poop. Plus, none of us are really up for talking considering it's 4;00 AM. Yeah, i forgot to mention her plane arrives at 6;00 am. I'm so tired I'm surprised I'm not knocked out by now. I guess it's the excitement. Harry's lucky though. He's asleep and has been that way since we first got in the car. I decide to just look out the window till I fall asleep from boredness. It's raining. I watch as the little drops of water run down the car window and pretend it's a race in my mind. It's still dark out. I am just so tired. I'm gonna try and get some shuteye. I close my eyes and surprinsingly quickly drift into a dreamless sleep. 

*le french voice: about 1 and a half hour later*

"Jade, sweetie wake up. We're here", I hear mum say. I groggily open my eyes. I straighten up and see Harry do the same. We all get out of the car and walk towards the airport entrance. The walk is long since our parking spot was really far away from the entrance. Finally, we get there and walk into the busy airport. There are lots of people. Some busy, some doing some kind of walk/sprint to catch a flight probably, some sleeping... this place is packed. There are lots of stores and shops for ither souvenieers or snacks. I see a Starbucks. 'Can we get some coffee? I need something to wake me up.", I say. 'Me too, plus I'm sure Gemma would like one also. Jetlag is pretty hard to deal with alone...", Harry says. 'Sure, you guys go get some starbucks while I call Gemma to see if she's landed already. ", mum says. We nod and go towards the coffee shop. Harry orders while I just stand by him. He pays and we sit so we can wait for our names to be called. We don't talk much. Just about simple stuff. We're already more awake. 'Harry", says the employee. We get up and collect our drinks. I take a sip of mine and smile. Heaven. We walk out and meet mum. We hand her her drink . 'She's already landed and is getting off the plane right now." , she says. "Alright, so we should probably go pick up her suitcase.", I say. Harry and mum nod. We walk towards the place where we're supposed to pick up her suitcase and Harry walks over to where the suitcases are coming out. Mum and I stay close. "Are you excited to meet your sister?", mum asks smiling a bit. I nod. "Yeah, I can't wait!", I say slightly grinning. Harry comes back with Gemma's suitcase. "Ohh look! There she is!", mum says. Looks like she heard mum and she looks our way. She smiles and quickly walks over to us. 'Hey, I missed you guys so much!", she says as she reaches us. She hugs us all individually. Mum's the first one to speak. 'Oh Love, we missed you too! Was your flight okay? How's college?", she says as we hand her her drink. Gemma laughs. Both are great. haha Starbucks? You know me well. so how have you guys been?" she asks as we start walking out of the airport. We all answer with been good's and great's and  stuff. So Jade, we have got to hang out! I can't wait to have some fun with my little sister!', she says. I laugh. "I can't wait either! We should go to the mall or something tomorrow!", I say. "Splendid! haha", she says. We both laugh. "Harry how's the band and the lads doing?", she asks. He smiles. "We're doing great. Working on the new album and the lads are great. They're actually staying at our house until next week.", he answers. Mum and I nod. 'That's great!", Gemma says. We get to the parking lot and walk the looonnnggggg walk again towards our car. Mum opens the car with the car beeper and I open the trunk. Harry puts the suitcase inside the trunk and we all get inside the car. I look my watch. It's already 7:00 am! Time goes by fast. This time Harry is driving. Mum is in the passenger's seat and Gemma and I are in the backseats. Harry starts the car and pulls out of the car park and into the express lane. We chat on the way about whatever comes to our minds. We all seem to do hat a lot. We talk about Gemma's college, what she's studying, the band, christmas, anything. About 1 and a half hour later we are back in Holmes Chapel and pulling into our driveway. It's about 8:40 or something. We get out of the car and I take out Gemma's suitcase. We walk in and I settle the suitcase on the floor next to the couch in the living room. I see that the lads are already up. They're all eating breakfast on the kitchen table. When they see us they all get up and come over to say hello. 'Gemma! It's been a long time!", Niall says. "Sure has! How are you guys?", Gemma says. "We're good, you?", asks Liam. "Splendid haha. Busy but great.", Gemma answers. "Well that's great. A Lot of work in college I imagine...", Louis says. "Yeah, it'sb crazy. I can't wait to graduate...", she says. "This is your last year, yeah?", Zayn asks. 'Yep, haha finaly! It's actually a bit hard to believe. I mean, just yesterday I was graduating from High School and now this is my last year in college...", she says smiling a bit more to herself than us. "Would you like something to eat, Gemma?", mum asks nicely. 'No, actually I'm still a bit in need of sleep. I'll just settle my stuff in my room then I'll  lie down, yeah?", Gemma says. 'I'll help you take your things to your room...", I say smiling. "Thank you, that's sweet.", she says smiling at me. "Well, alright.", says mum. "I'm gonna lie down also then... Rest would be good right about now.", she says. We all chuckle. "Well, We'll just watch tv or something... you lads wanna?", Harry asks. "Yeah, why not?", says Niall, "I think there's a football game coming on...(soccer)" "I'm gonna visit Perrie...", Zayn says. Liam and Louis say they're gonna watch the football game. We all head off in our different directions. Gemma and I walk up the stairs with her stuff. Each of us carrying a side of the suitcase. When we get to her room, she opens the door and we put the suitcase on the floor. "So, Jade, tell me. Any boyfriend?", she asks. "Right down to the point then haha, but no. Single pringle...", I say. Louis immediatly pops into my mind. I think I can tell her, I mean i trust her and she is my sister. She could help me figure out girl stuff that Harry wouldn't understand. Don't get me wrong. I love talking with Haz and he really helps but there's just some things that only a GIRL could get. You know? I am snapped out of my thoughts with Gemma waving a hand in front of my face. "Hello? Jadey, you in there?", she says gigling. I must have been quiet for a long time.  "Sorry, what?", I ask stupidly. She laughs. "you were lost in space for a while. But I know that look. There is someone on your mind. Is'nt there?", she says knowingly. I'm pretty sure I am blushing like a tomato. "There is!  Who is he? What's his name? If he's ever a nub to you, I'll crush him!", she rambles. I laugh. 'Well, it's a bit complicated...", I say. "I have time...", she says smiling, "Tell me everything. I do and she listens intently the whole time. "And he doesn't know?", she asks. "No and he never will if I can help it.", I say. "But why?", Gemma asks looking confused. "Because. I know he doesn't like me back. Why would he? He can get any girl in the world. Why would he like me? To him I'm just a friend. If I told him it would just be awkward and I don't want to ruin the great friendship we have going.", I say smiling sadly. "Has he told you he only likes you as a friend?", she asks. "No.", I answer her. "Then why are you so sure?", she asks. "Because he likes someone else. Once when we were watching tv just me and him he asked me if I had ever liked someone that I thought could never feel the same way about me. It's obvious he already likes someone. So why bother?", I say. She looks at me sadly. "Of course he could like you. Why wouldn't he? Your sweet, funny, easy-going and you're very pretty. But if it is how you imagine,don't stress about it. There are plenty of fish in the sea. But hey, unless you know for sure, don't give up.", she smiles. "You know what? I'll try to help you figure out the confusing Doncaster lad. I'll try to get information out of him", she says smiling. I smile. "You are seriously the best sister ever. You know that?", I say. She hugs me and laughs. "Whenever you want to talk I'm here. You can also talk to Harry or mum. We're all here for you. Even the boys.", she says. I hug her even more. "Thank you", I say. "Well I'm gonna go to sleep. I'm knackered.", she says. "Me too", I say getting up from her bed which I was sitting on and walking towards the door. "Where are you going?", she asks. "To bed, why?", I say confused. "You can sleep here. C'mon join me little sis!", she says laughing. "Well alright!", I say laughing also. I get in the other side of the bed and slip under the covers. She turns off the light an we both close our eyes. I smile as I beggin to fall asleep quickly in the comfiness of the bed.

Hey my muffins! How are you? haha I ope you liked this chapter. I'm sorry I uploaded it so late. It's just that my ipod screen cracked and that's what I previously used to write since I could write offline and anywhere but now I had to write this on my laptop and I could only write online and when I was home ad had free-time. Also I was checking the story and I noticed that chapters 13 part 2 to chapter 16 were marked private which means that only people who followed me on here could read them. I already fixed that and now they're public so if you missed those chapters which were some of my favorites you can go back and read those. It'll help you understand lots of stuff that will come next so I am asking you to please read them :) Anyways, I will start writting the next chapter when I am free. It willbe a bit hard because tomorrow I start school again. yay! *note the sarcasm* -_- but I will try to write as much as posible. I hope you all had a great Christmas break!
