(AN) Hello everynyan.

This is the beginning of a story I'm currently working on. I'd love your opinion on it. I don't know if it's good enough to actually write a book on so let me know. Feel free to share your critics and if you see something that looks weird or a mistake. I really want to improve my writing.

Thank you all so much ;; kisses to y'all , Pancakes

Just as Jacobs cold unsteady hand reached for the thin golden layered door handle his hands began to violently shake. The anticipation was killing him. His mind racing, breaths becoming slowly more uneven as time went by. Did he really have to do this? Couldn't he just go back to his cozy home, back to his mother. Oh, how he missed his mother. He could still see how her smile never failed to brightened up the hole room and how on cold days when he came back from school he would see her standing in the kitchen as the warm sent of freshly baked bread with a thin layer of honey on top infiltrated his senses and the warm air of the fireplace kindly wrapped around him like a thick fuzzy blanked. The sudden flow of cold air brought him back to his senses. He slowly pulled the golden door handle down with a trembling but steady hand. The waves of anxiety almost completely drowning him. Shaken by the sudden thoughts of what was on the other side, he took a moment to calm down and inspected the door. It was one of these old doors that rarely ever have been used, almost everything in this house looked like it could fall apart at any given moment, this door was no exception. As expected, it made a loud squeaking noise as it slowly revealed what was beyond its large frame. Inside was a large old wooden room. In the middle was a large oak wooden desk with a green musty lamp. Behind it was a single brown leathered chair. The huge painting of an old bearded man on the wall opposite of the door made Jacob feel like he was in a court room with thousands of people judging him for a crime he didn't commit. Slightly to the right and left hung another pair of paintings. The left one was a beautiful landscape of an heavy aired forest which made a shiver crawl down his spine. To the right was an old lady. She looked a lot like the bearded man in the middle, the only difference was that she emitted a calm, motherly atmosphere. Jacob could almost feel the waves of anxiety roll of him as he, for a few moments, seemed to forget the task that was up ahead.
