I ran as fast as I could to the office,but Calin stopped me
"What are you doing"
"Stopping it"
"If you go in there with a bow and arrow they will shoot you on sight"
"They aren't killing her"I said.The charm is suppose to bring her good not bad.Calin tore the arrow off my shoulder.
"Now go.God, use your head sometimes Tess"He sighed.
"Thank you"I said.He smirked,I turned back and ran inside.When I did I saw Clover
"Clover"I said.She looked up at me with tears in her eyes.She jumped off the chair and ran towards me
"I didn't tell I swear"She said.
"I know it's okay."I said.
"Did you give that to that little girl."A man said pointing to the charm.
"Who are you?"I asked.The question wasn't asked in a rude manner,it was just a question
"Patrick,I'm one of the head officials"
"Yes I did.It brings good luck"
"Well,She came here"They said.I looked at her.My knees kneeled and I was eye level with her
"Why would you do that"
"I ran away"
"Why your parents must be worried about you"I said holding her face.She looked down
"She doesn't have parents"Patrick said.I looked back to her
"Why would you hurt her?"I asked
"She can't know about us,shes a human." Patrick said
"So you kill her,Shes a little girl"I shouted.They looked at me,
"She's a human.They are messy and disobedient."
"Then i'll take care of her"I said.They looked at me.
"You aren't suppose to be here either and if it Weren't for Calin,you'd be dead"Patrick said
"I don't care.I'll change her"I lied.Patrick looked at her and back to me.He questionably bit his lip
"I'll think about it.Tomorrow her punishment will be set.Until then she's your responsibility"Patrick said.
"Okay"I nodded.
"Before you go can I ask why,you want her.I mean she's a human and she's naive and young"
"All life should be cherished.And when I gave this girl my charm it was a sign of protection.If you kill her, your killing a part if me.And that beast you call your head alpha won't be so happy when his mate is dying."I said.He looked at me and widened his eyes.
"Go"He said.I picked up Clover and walked out.
"Thank you"she lightly sobbed into my shoulder
"You can't stay here"I said.
"I didn't know where to go,they hit me"She cried.My eyes flashed to the small bruise on the side I her cheek then the red
"The people in the office"
