My mother loved flowers, my dad always brought her flowers every time he came
home on Fridays.

I sit on one of the couches looking over the view of the city, the lights shined bright in contrast to the dark night. I opened the bag of Cheetos and began to star gaze and enjoying every moment.

I shiver as another cold breeze hits me. I feel a warm jacket with the scent of vanilla and roses, is gently placed over my shoulders making
me peer up to see August.

"Want some?" I asked holding my half eaten bag of chips up to him .

"No thanks, I'm on a strict diet that my dad put on me. He said 'true alphas can't be eating garbage' which I think is straight bullshit" August grumbled sitting down on the outside couch with me: I leaned against his shoulder and he kissed
the top of my head.

"Why'd you leave earlier?"

I tensed up as soon as I heard those words, "I needed fresh air, that's it."

"Lies, you always look down and play with your fingers when your lying. "
He already knows that?

I coughed before speaking, "I thought about my parents again."

"Oh yeah when am I going to meet them, you obviously met my jack ass dad." He began making me sit up and pull my knees to my chest, still watching the city light in front of me.

"Never, they are both dead."

I could feel him gulp, "oh baby girl , I'm so sorry. I know how it feel to loose a parent--but two, I can't imagine how your feeling right now."

I just kept silent, feeling a tear fall down my cheek. August pulled me close to him, I wrapped my arms around him basking in his warmth.

"I thought you said your dad was going to kill you, remember this morning."

"My god father, Edmond: he pays for my student loans and everything. He raised me ever since my parents
died when I was 15."

"I know it makes me feel better to talk about it. It's like a weight is off my chest." August whispered kissing my neck gingerly making
me nod agreeing with him.

"My dad was the captain of all the pack warriors in my pack: meaning he was always gone. So of course my mother had to take care of my brother, Anthony and I. Then I still remember like it was yesterday--my mother grew really sick, no one ever told me of what. They diagnosed her at the late stages; so it was too late. My father was away in Texas to gather more training tactics to help improve our pack--
no one told him.

My brother and I sat next to her bedside at her dying moments, dreading that she will take her last breath. I still hear her saying to me, 'tell daddy I love him, I will always love you two with all of my heart; my little angels.' Then she was gone."

August kissed my forehead,
nodding at me to keep going.

"My dad came home; he went crazy. Then he went upstairs to the room they shared--it was dead quiet then a gun shot went off. We both ran the fastest we could up the old wooden steps into the room, to see my dad with a bullet wound in the center of his forehead, a picture of all of us
clenched in his hands."

"What about your brother?"

I shrug my shoulders, "I wish I knew, last time I heard of him was when my god-father told me he was apart of another pack or something."

He just nodded "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, you are right. It feels like a weight is lifted off my shoulders, thank you."

"I'll always there for you."He smiled looking into my eyes, both leaning in for a kiss then I felt a rain drop hit my head making me squeal.

August groaned, "Aw man it's raining.
Come on let's go--"

He stopped when he saw me get up and start splashing in the puddles, as it started to pour harder resulting in my hair to be drenched. A huge smile spread across my face: I felt
my mood be instant lifted.

I stood there just taking in all the rain,
"Are you crazy? You're going to get sick Shiloh." He scolded grabbing my wrist but I stayed put.

"No wait just a few more minutes." I laughed pulling my arm away from him and splashing in another puddle making it splash on to him.

His hard face turned into A upbeat one, his pearly white teeth shined

under the light in the garden.

"Your so dead." He stated making me scream and start to run in the opposite direction making him jog after me and pick me up and spin me around.

How did we not slip?

I wrapped my arms around his neck, throwing my head back laughing. His pushed back my wet curls from my face, "I love you so much
Shiloh Paige."

"I love you so much August West."
I replied against his lips before leaning closer to kiss him. His soft full lips worked wonders against mine: sparks and tingles spread through my body making me feel like I was on top of
the world.

I then heard Chris' voice, "Hey you idiots, I don't know if you noticed this but it's raining! Plus Shiloh can you help me with this chapter?!"

We just ignored him and enjoyed the kiss, Chris sighed before replying,
"Fine, I'll wait inside
until your done."
