Most behaved Child // Part 3

Mulai dari awal

I stared at him, showing no sign of agreeing or disagreeing.

Ethan sighed.

"Alora, remember when I said I know Travon best in this whole wide fucking world?" He asked.

I nodded, looking away from his pleading eyes.

"Well, I wasn't kidding. That's what he'd do. That's what your brother would do for you. You are and always will be his first priority after he made that promise to your... Anyway, that's not the point. The point is, he made a promise to keep you safe and if Travon isn't present here right now, it is to be continued by us, his friends. To save you. To save him." He explained.

"Don't talk like he's already gone 'cause he's not." I scowled in his direction.

"I never said he was." Ethan smiled at me little. "Oh, and there is a teeny tiny mission waiting for you guys in Arizona too. Couple of guys need knights in shining armor. What'd ya say?"

"If- I'm not saying I'm agreeing but if I do... what you're asking, what will happen here?" I asked Ethan and I swear a grin so big broke on his face that I wanted to slap it away to France.

Bastard knew he'd won.

"Nothing. Whatever the doctors say, we'll discuss what to do next with that information. You'll skip school for all those days, I'll handle the school board for you. You'll supervise over agency from there and we'll take care of The Enterprise from here. What's left?"

Wow. He'd already thought all this through.

I gulped.

Should I? Should I not?

Heath and I will kill each other taking turns, with the kind of bickering we do. We won't survive in another state, alone and especially not on a mission where we actually have to cooperate with each other. But I guess, we've to learn to work together. And we'd have Carson to settle our bickering.

We'd have to learn to work together 'cause this is bigger than any of us.

"Alora. You gotta decide in this century, you know." Ethan's voice broke me out of reverie and I scowled at his smirking face.

"Yea. Okay. I'll go. But Heath has to promise to behave."

"HEY! I'm the most behaved child ever raised!" Heath protested, jumping in his seat.

Ethan and I both snorted, rolling our eyes.

"It's not my fault your asses beg to differ." Heath scoffed, folding his arms. "Anyway, since this is settled, I'm off. Got packing to do. This is going to be an amazing trip." He got up, clapping his hands, eyes lit up with excitement seen only in a child on Christmas.

"Alora. You need to pack too-"

"I always pack-"

"-And not a backpack. Proper luggage." Ethan said, cutting me off when I started to protest.

I sighed, nodding while getting up aswell.

"I'd love to offer you a ride but you'd just pollute my car so, ADIOS!" Heath said turning around while running away, giving us a peace out sign.

I just smiled at him, folding my hands, tapping my foot impatiently for it to happen.

3-- And CLASH!

He crashed. Heath crashed with the vending machine in the way.

It was bound to happen with him not watching where he was going and Karma watching from above.
