POETS

Not all poets
wanted to be poets.
Yes- we do make rhymes
and lines.
We make colors
through words.
We make stars
through words.
We make poems
through feelings.
We love doing those things.
We love writing down everything.
But for once,
poets think of
not being a poet at all.
It's kind of tiring
to keep on writing
about someone
we keep on loving.
For once,
poets think of
not being a poet at all.
For once,
we want to be the poem.
We want to be one of those rhymes
and lines.
We want to be the color
of the words.
We want to be the metaphor,
simile,
hyperbole,
or any other poetic devices
or just simply be
one of the poet's vices.
For once,
we want to be poems.
For once,
we want to stop being poets.
For once,
we don't want to write-
we want to be written.
