"How are you today, my dear?", Jenna asked her pale husband, softly caressing his bald head.
"Just a bit soggy and exhausted.", he smiled half-heartedly.
"And how are you? Did you sleep at all last night?", Tyler asked as he examined the purple shadows under her eyes.
"Yeah... maybe two hours or so.", she told him.
"More than last night.", he tried to joke. But neither of them was in the mood for joking.
A couple moments later, a nurse came in with a wide smile.
"Good morning. Here's your breakfast.", she put the plate down and left again.
Tyler hesitantly took a bite of the usual sandwich.
Jenna bit down on her lip, then decided on taking the apple.
"Love, did you have any sleep this night?", Tyler asked her.
"Yeah, around two hours or so.", she repeated her answer.
