$$$Chapter 4$$$

I drive home to my large modern mansion. We live in a neighborhood, Seven Oaks. It's really prestigious, it's a gated community and the only houses there are jumbo-sized mansions. There are five large neighbourhood pools, two saunas, three hot tubs, two spas, a movie theatre, and two gyms in the neighbourhood. You have to live there in order to use these facilities and there aren't more than 500 mansions and manors in the neighbourhood. I punch in the code to enter the neighbourhood: 3495. I drive past identical houses, at first smaller, then growing larger as you go farther into the neighbourhood. Each house is gated and has a perfectly manicured lawn. They all look the same on the outside, large, white, supported with marble columns. Everything is so generic, and boring. I slowly drive for five minutes, passing smaller mansions, to get to the largest mansion in the neighbourhood, my home. I've got friends that live here too, Matt, Connor, Vegas, and Charlotte all live in Seven Oaks. I drive up a small hill to my long, brick driveway. I step out of the car and grab my purse as one of the chauffeurs, Paul greets me.

"Hello Miss McKenzie, have a nice practice?" Paul asks, getting into the car so he can park it in the five car garage.

"Yea, thanks Paul." I say, walking into the oversized mansion. I go into the kitchen to order some chicken wings. They should be arriving in 30 minutes. I'm home alone, as usual. Both of my parents can work anywhere as long as they have a laptop and signal. They're probably out at some fancy dinner or at a meeting. I go into the main hallway, where the mail is always left. I've got three packages, 2 bills, and 1 letter from some guy that wants to buy a horse from me. I open my packages first. One contains a new pair Le Vian chocolate diamond earring studs from Kay Jewelers. The chocolate diamonds are super rare and uber expensive. I open the other packages to find some new Louis Vuitton red pumps. The last box has some of the legendary Stuart Weitzman's Diamond Dream Stilettos. Sure, they cost $500,000, but they're adorable and will be perfect for me to wear to my birthday gala. The bills are prepaid, these are just receipts. The guy who wants my mustang colt isn't getting him. He's wild and fast, he'll surely have a future in the fast lanes. Greg Hoagen, the man who wants the colt thinks that I'll agree to his cheap offer because I'm younger. Ha, he's wrong, I'm probably much smarter than him. I rip up his letter and throw it away. I go into the kitchen and grab an orange Fanta. I go into the living room and turn on the T.V. so I can watch reruns of Pretty Little Liars. The next episode doesn't come on until January 7, which sucks because it's my favourite show and I'm an impatient girl. It's so obvious that Ezra is A. A is the creepy stalker that stalks Hanna, Emily, Spencer, and Aria. Ezra is Aria's ex boyfriend. Alison DiLaurentis, the girl who was supposedly dead is actually alive and is hiding from someone. Halfway though the show, my chicken wings come. I answer the door in the grey Hollister sweats that I changed into after cheer. I'm wearing a blue sweater and a messy bun in my hair. I pay the chicken guy and sit down in the living room to drink orange Fanta and eat my chicken wings. I got ranch, fried, and lemon herb. There are 12 in all, four of each kind. As soon as I'm done, I go upstairs to do my homework. When I'm done, I get a call from Zephyr.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Hi, is this Kenzie?" he asks.

"Yea." I say "What's up?"

"Um, I was calling to say hello." Zephyr says.

"Well, hey." I say. "Can't wait for tomorrow. What should I wear? Something formal? Casual? School clothes? Farm clothes?"

"What you usually wear will be fine." he says "Do you like seafood?"

"Yea, I love seafood! Have you ever been to Ginny's Seafood Shack?" I ask Ginny's is a really nice seafood place.

"Um, no. Probably not if it's upper class. We are more of a McDonald's family." Zephyr says.

"Oh, we don't ever go there." I say. Mom says McDonald's is a calorie shack. "I've never been there."

"Maybe I could take you sometime." he offers "Not on a date, as friends."

"Probably not a good idea." I say.

"Matt will get mad?" Zephyr asks, agitated.

"No, my mom won't let me eat there. She says that I'll get fat and won't be able to cheer of do other sports." I say.

"Oh, that sucks. Do you like Chick-Fil-A?" Zephyr asks.

"Yea, sometimes when mom and dad are out of town, I secretly eat there." I say.

"Where do you eat?" he asks.

"I get a lot of take out." I say. "I also like Panera Bread."

"They're expensive." he says "Probably not to you though."

"Yea, pretty cheap to my family." I say. "Do you have a ride to school?"

"I ride my motorcycle usually, but it's in the shop." Zephyr says. "I've been walking."

"In the cold?" I ask.

"Yea." he answers.

"I can take you." I offer.

"You sure?" he asks, confusedly.

"Positive." I say.

"I'm sorry, I've got to go. Dinner time." Zephyr says.

"Bye." I respond. I go get dressed for bed and turn out all of the lights in the big mansion except for the ones in my sleeping room. I have three rooms, one for sleeping, one for clothes, and one for everything else. They're all really big- huge rooms. I'm the only child, so I'm spoiled with stuff, not love like other kids. I lay down in my luxurious California King bed and put in headphones so I can listen to Pitbull. He's awesome, my new favourite song by him is Timber featuring Ke$ha. As soon as I get tired, I shut off my phone and lay down to go to sleep. It's 10:45 and the parents still aren't home, no surprise there.
