Have you ever been floating at the top, yet sinking at the bottom? That's me. Everyone has the most perfect image of me. I'm the head cheerleader, so it's out of the question that I could possibly be in love with Math. My boyfriend, Matt O'Ryan is captain of the football team-we obviously never get into fights and he never yells at me so loud I mistake him for thunder. My parents own MeVideo.com- the most popular video site in the world, so it'd be ridiculous to think that they fight and sometimes he hits my mom. I'm an only child, there's no way I could ever feel like my parents don't love me enough. I'm the most popular girl at Williams Academy, so why would I sit with the new kid?

I'm McKenzie. My friends call me Kenzie, they have since we were two and could all talk. As I said before, I'm head cheerleader, I have a really nice boyfriend with anger issues, I'm really rich, and I'm the most popular girl at Williams Academy. There's a lot more to me than what meets the eye. I've got secrets. We all do, some are just bigger than others.

I have really long, dark hair. It's naturally wavy, but I usually straighten it. I have dazzling green eyes that are great for interrogations. I have plump, pink lips and I must've been born without the acne gene because I've never had a pimple. I'm tall and skinny, Matt and the rest of his groupies say I've got a model figure. It's junior year and I'm still 16. I don't turn 17 until April 12.

We are just coming back from winter break and basketball season is in session. Oh yea, Matt is captain of the basketball team too and the baseball team. He's captain of any sport he plays, but football is his favourite. Matt is mixed, like me. His mom is black and his dad is white, where my parents are the opposite. Matt is strong and built, he's 17 and already has a six-pack. You should see the fights he gets into. It's ridiculous, but somehow, fighting bumps you up a few notches on the Williams Academy Popularity List if you're a guy.

At school, I'm the trendsetter and my trends usually have to do with fashion, but today was different. I rejected my boyfriend for a chance to sit with the new guy. Of course, my friends and the people that think they're my friends followed me to go sit with him. I don't know why I did it, there's something about him that drew me in. Maybe it's his eyes, his piercing blue eyes. It's crazy, but I'm attracted to guys with beautiful eyes, even if I don't know them, I make it my job to be sure we meet again. It's not that hard actually. I have over 300 contacts in my phone of guys. The other 359 are girls.

*earlier that day*

"Hey, I'm McKenzie but you can call me Kenzie." I say. Wow, he has gorgeous eyes and lips and a perfect nose. Snap out of it Kenzie, you've got Matt.

"I'm Zephyr." he says.

"Zephyr?" I ask.

"Yes, Zephyr as in the Greek God of Western Wind." Zephyr says.

"Where did you move from?" I ask him.

"Greece." he says. Wow, Greek guys are hot this one is no exception.

"Welcome to Williams Academy, the most predictable place on Earth." I say.

"Why is that?" Zephyr asks.

"Nothing out of the ordinary ever happens here." I say. "Make any friends?" I ask.

"This is 1st period." Zephyr says.

"Oh yea, I'm stupid." I say.

"I don't believe that, you're taking Senior level chemistry." he says. I blush lightly. We start working on a lab when my boyfriend stumbles into class.

"Glad you could make it Mr. O'Ryan." Mrs. Kimmel says.

"Sorry, my car needed gas." he said with a smile.
