"That's impossible! I can't be!" "Well we tested your urine sample on two different pregnancy test and they both came out positive. I'm pretty sure you're pregnant". That day was the most scarce-full day of my life. Yes I wanted to have kids, but at just sixteen I wasn't ready. I wanted to start a family in my twenties, at least twenty-four. You just can't control the future! I went to the hospital after telling my mom that I'm scared and that my boobs are leaking, they're lumpy and I want to get them checked out. We went to the hospital on her day off. I looked up those two symptoms and the internet said it was a sign of breast cancer. I was scared out of my mind! I was worried because my mom told me it runs in our family and the fact I'm only a teenager,It scared me more than anything. I couldn't get it out my mind until the day we went to the hospital and got all the answers. Not the ones we wanted but at least we had answers and good news. After waiting for an hour they finally came back saying that I was pregnant. Seeing my moms face, the way she looked at me. I was confused myself, but she was holding back tears I could see it and it hurt me more than anything to see her face like that. I'm thinking the way she looked at me that if the doctor wasn't there she was gonna kill me!
When the doctor left she just stared angrily at me. You could tell in her eyes that she wanted to speak her mind and yell at me, but she didn't. We both had a hard time talking to each other after the doctor told us I was pregnant. " I thought it was going to be something serious, not saying this isn't but I'm thinking you had breast cancer. I mean I had a feeling that you were this but I ignored it because I didn't want it to be true." I'm trying my best to hold in every tear possible. What helps me from not drowning in my own tears is biting my tongue or if I have a straw in my drink I bite on the straw. I tried so hard not to cry or let out one whimper of a sound. I just couldn't bare it. My mom was frustrated and furious but she was also disappointed and she let out her emotions. My sister, Marrissa was there with us but she didn't know the news until the doctor told her that she could come back in. My mom went out there in the hallway instead and talked to her. I seen them talking back and forth and my sister crying and saying "omg!". About ten to fifteen minutes later they both came back in the room and while my mom sat down, my sister came over and hugged me. I tried my dearest to hold back the tears. When people hug me when I'm upset the tears end up falling down my face like a waterfall. I held back every tear possible and I asked her to let go. I couldn't hug her anymore because if we hugged any longer I would of just broken.
We sat in the room for the longest time without saying one word to each other. About an hour later the doctor came in and told me I was just about 5 months pregnant. The look on my moms face was devastated. She was not happy at all. When we got done with the doctors we had lunch.Within all the news we had that day I offered to buy lunch. After, the doctor left, my sister was talking about baby names already. I'm still over here scared out my mind and she's excited and coming up with names already. We didn't know whether or not it was a boy or girl so we were talking about both. Well my mom and sister were picking out names and I just kept saying no to most of them, But I did like some names. I asked my mom " Does talking about baby stuff bother you like it's bothering me? " " Actually no. It's helping me calm down". In my mind I'm thinking how would this calm her down? I'm terrified because I'm not ready to be a mom. I mean I don't mind being a mom, I always wanted to be.
We went to lunch at steak and shake. That place is so good! Their fries with Cheddar are awesome! We still talked about names and other baby stuff while stuffing our faces with food. I could see my mom was I little more relaxed because we talked a lot. My sister and my mom are both wanting me to have a girl. My mom said " I hope you have a girl so you know how stressful it is". I know exactly what she means by that. The puberty situation, how teenage girls are, and how they get in trouble and stuff. My mom wanted me to experience how hard it is to have a girl because well she felt the same with me and my sisters. It's not a bad thing that she said that because I understand where she's coming from. Teenagers are mostly troublemakers, they don't like to listen and get attitudes when they don't get what they want. But not all act like that.
After a long day, we all went home. The car was so silent you could hear yourself breathing and every other little noise. My other sister Lexy didn't know about the situation. So when we got home and got settled, we had everyone sit in the living room and I told her, " you know how we went to the doctors to see what was wrong with my boobs? Well it's not cancer but we found out that I was pregnant". She looked at my mom, and marrissa with this look like 'yea right you're joking'. She said "no way, you're joking". "No Lexy it's not a joke I'm serious. I'm give months pregnant". Mom said "It's true, we're not joking with you. You guys are gonna be a aunt". Lexy's face was just priceless. She didn't know how to react besides to say 'oh'. I asked her if she was happy to be an aunt but, I think she was too shocked and amazied to even think of being an aunt.
