After looking at the outside, my parents took us inside. The house was bigger than it looked on the outside. It had five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living room, dining room, and fairly large kitchen.
My parents showed us each our rooms. I went into mine and sat on the bare mattress on my bed. (We already had some furniture in the house that my dad brought here a week or so ago) I looked around the room and out the window.
I could tell I was already going to hate it here.
I stayed sitting on my bed and decided to call Sam. I dialed his number and waited. It rang a few times but he picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hi Sam" I smiled from hearing his voice.
"Hey babe. How's it going?"
"Well, we finally got here, but I know I'm not going to like it" I stated firmly.
"Sierra, listen to me" I listened. "You need to give the place a chance. You never know if you'll like it until you try!"
But, I don't want to live here! I want to move back home and still be with my friends. I hate it here. I hate everyone here. And I will never like it here. I thought to myself. "Yeah, you're right" I lied to him.
"Good. Well I miss you" I could feel his smile through the phone. Which caused me to smile.
"I miss you t-" I was cut off by my mother yelling from downstairs.
"SIERRA GET DOWN HERE"
"COMING" I yelled back. And returned my attention the the phone. "Hey Sam, I have to go. Call me later?"
"Sure, call you later. Bye, Sierra"
"Bye, Sam" I hung up.
I walked downstairs and looked around, no one was inside. I walked outside and saw my sisters getting boxes out of the moving truck we rented, and my parents talking to someone.
I walked over to them and my parents smiled at me.
"Sierra, this is Mrs. Grier" I tried not to be rude. I smiled at the woman and shook her hand.
"It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Grier" I said as we shook hands.
"It's nice to meet you to, Sierra. Me and my family live a few houses down from you" she smiled, let go of my hand, and continued a conversation with my parents.
I sort of zoned out, but she turned to me and said, "You know, I have a son about your age, if you need someone to show you around"
I have a boyfriend. "Thanks, but no thanks" I shot her a fake smile and went to carry more boxes into the house.
I spent most of the day carrying boxes inside, we eventually finished that and I began unpacking. I started by folding and hanging up some clothes. It was now 5:00.
I'm starving. I walked downstairs into the kitchen, but realized we didn't have any food; ya know, since we just moved. Crap.
I yelled from the kitchen.
"MOM! WHAT'S FOR DINNER, I'M STARVING"
I heard her coming down the stairs. "Sorry honey, I forgot to tell you. We're going over to the Grier's for dinner tonight. Wear something nice" she turned to leave, but turned back around. "And please be on your best behavior" then she went back upstairs only to yell at me "We're going to their house at 6:00"
I rolled my eyes. Be on your best behavior.
Let me clear things up, since the whole 'moving' thing, I haven't been the most pleasant person to be around. I wouldn't say that I was being selfish, I was just trying to make a point. I didn't want to move.
And I think I made my point very clear.
I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at the clock. 5:10. Crap we're leaving in 45 minutes!
I ran to my room and dug through my closet and the remaining boxes of clothes. What am I going to wear?
I walked into the room Brittany and Jessi were sharing until Jessi moved into her dorm.
"What are you guys wearing to dinner tonight?"
"We're not going to dinner with you guys, I have an interview, and Brit has a date" Jessi stated. I rolled my eyes and walked out.
Of course Brit had a date. She was the girl that all of the guys liked. I have to admit I was a little jealous, but Sam is great.
Now I had to go to dinner alone, with people I didn't know, let alone want to hang out with.
When I finally decided what to wear, I had picked out a dark purple flowy skirt that went a few inches about my knee, black lace leggings, black wedges, and a white vneck with a black cardigan.
I finished dressing and went to my bathroom. I still had thirty minutes so I quickly curled my hair and applied makeup. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs.
My parents greeted me warmly, I just brushed it off and walked out the door.
We got in the car and drove to the Grier's house. I don't know why we drove though, they lived three houses down.
I got out of the car and walked behind my parents up to the door. They rang the doorbell and were welcomed my Mrs. Grier and who I assumed to be Mr. Grier.
Mrs. Grier gave my mom a hug and Mr. Grier shook my dad's hand. I just stood there awkwardly as they began talking.
Mrs. Grier soon noticed me, and gave me a warm hug. "Wow, Sierra, don't you just look gorgeous!" she smiled brightly.
I blushed "Thanks"
"Hold on a second, I'll go get Nash"
"Nash?" I thought about it. Nash... OH MY GOSH. Nash... Grier? He was that famous viner.
I had heard about him before, I wouldn't say I'm much of a fan though. I've watched some of his videos and he seems like a douche. Great, just what I needed...
