Promises are for the fools
who believe in lies,
instead of accepting the sad truths.
It flaws their innocence,
pure blue water becoming tears
wounds turning to scars.
Promises are for the fools
who burn in fires started by others
and drown in floods of
their own bleeding hearts.
Promises are for the fools
who smile tiredly whispering
"it's okay"
- to all the promises that break us.
