Y/N POV
____________
Without thinking about it, you leaned against him, taking in lungfuls of air as you regained control of your breathing. Silent tears rolled down your face, you voice too hoarse to cry. You stiffened as arms wrapped around you, before relaxing into them. You sat there, rocking side to side as a calm settled over the room, his steady heartbeat drumming in your ear. "We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to," his chest vibrated as he spoke.
Your stomach growled as you pulled away from the hug. Ian stood up and pulled you to your feet, "Come on. Food's upstairs." Seto walked over from his desk and handed you a bottle filled with a pink liquid. You look at the glowing substance before shifting your gaze to Seto. "It's a strength potion. It'll keep your legs from giving out again." Too tired to ask any questions, you pulled the cork off and downed the cool liquid. You popped the cork back in and returned the now empty bottle to him, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand.
Footsteps echoed in the stairwell, catching your attention as Ian made his way to the kitchen. You followed him, sliding your hand across the smooth, wood railing as you climbed the stairs. You opened the door at the top, exiting into a pantry. They must really want to keep it hidden. You stepped out of the pantry and into the kitchen. A door leading to the laundry room was centered on the left wall. The kitchen was outfitted with a fridge, dishwasher, stove, oven and a microwave that was perched on top of the counter. A marble island was in the center of the room, several chairs lined up against three of the four sides. An archway leading to the living room was on the back wall, several recliners and a couch with a coffee table that were positioned around the television could be seen through it. Another archway led to a spiral staircase and two doors that went to separate rooms. Ian looked up at a circular clock on the wall before yawning. "Well, I'm going back to bed," he stretched as he spoke before taking the stairs to the second floor.
"You can eat whatever. Cups are up there, forks there, plates are in there, trash can's there..." Seto said as he pointed to different cabinets, "...and, yeah, I'll be downstairs if you need me. Close the door behind you when you come down." You nodded to him in understanding before he went back down to his room. I wonder why they keep that room hidden. Maybe they're hiding something. And what was that stuff he gave me? It wasn't a medicine. But it worked like one. Why was it glowing? You shrugged it off as you walked over to the island, taking a green apple from the fruit bowl. You peeled the sticker off and threw it in the trash before grabbing a cup from the cabinet. You filled it to the brim with water, taking a sip to keep it from spilling. You wandered around the house, eventually stumbling across the front door.
Taking a bite out of your apple, you opened the door and stepped outside. You closed the door behind you, the mechanism clicking as it slid into place. You walked across the soft grass, the dew that rested upon it wetting the bottom of your feet. You stopped, standing in a shaft of moonlight. The soft glow cast a shadow that stretched out behind you, waiting to swallow you whole. You inhaled deeply, closing your eyes as you let the night fill your senses. You smiled, feeling relaxed as you bathed in the moon's soft glow. Time seemed to slow, coming to a halt before you felt something stir in the back of your mind, Let me oooout.
You clenched your jaw in annoyance, "no."
Oh come on, I just want to plaaayyyy. You can let me out.
"No I can't"
You have to led me out eventually.
"I can't let them find out."
They'll find out sooner or later. They always do.
You growled, the animalistic voice returning the gesture before going silent.
Sighing, you walked over to a nearby magnolia, ducking under the branches as you made your way to its trunk. You sat down and leaned against a low limb, your back resting against the trunk's base. Thick ivy grew on the ground, covering it in a blanket of green. Yawning, you lightly folded your arms across your stomach. You closed your eyes, a comforting tiredness washing over you as you drifted to sleep.
Ty's POV
_____________
Ty crouched down behind a bush, watching the new female as she stood in the middle of a field. He had gone on a midnight walk, unable to sleep as his mind wandered. "No... I can't let them find out." He perked up, picking out bits and pieces from the supposed one-sided conversation. What is she talking about? His eyes widened when he heard her growl. What the... He watched as she walked over to the old magnolia and disappeared into its foliage. She's hiding something, but what? His thoughts bothered him and his suspicion grew as he snuck into the house and went to his room, "I don't know, but I'm going to find out."
A/N
The magnolia is actually based off of one in my front yard. Also, the reason I'm slow to update is that I write most of this during my free time at school because that's when I usually have the most ideas. That and I have nothing better to do.
