A/N: I got so many awesome comments I just had to update again! Please comment & vote!

Luca stood at a modest 4 foot 8.

He was barefoot but the pants they'd put on him were way too long, pooling at his feet and held up by a belt fastened at notch they made themselves. Luca was simply tiny. He wanted to scoop him up in that very second. Tanner worried about boundaries.

Luca wiggles his toes and rocked a bit. "Kai sweep floor and let Luca chase broom?" The boy asked eagerly.

Kai smiled and shook his head. "Sorry buddy. That's something you'll have to ask your Daddy about."

Tanner hadn't expected for such a word to have so much impact. But it did. He honestly loved being called and referred to as Daddy. Especially to the innocence now looking hopefully up at him. "Daddy let Luca chase broom?"

Tanner didn't clean his home himself. It was an old Victorian style castle that had been in his family since the beginning of time, it seemed. He had a full staff at all points to provide upkeep necessary to keep such a massive place clean and tended too. But if Luca wanted to chase brooms, Daddy was damn sure going to make it happen!

"Of course pumpkin."

"Luca come back ever?" The boy cocked his head curiously.

"Never," Tanner replied. "You will be staying with me."

"Luca wanna go now." the boy decided in a matter-of-fact tone. "And say bye-bye to all friend."

"Your friends?" Echoed Tanner. He wanted to bundle the cutie up and take him out however. He wanted him to never look back to the days without his new Daddy. "Okay pumpkin. Where's your friends?"

"Not your friends, Luca's friends!" The boy cried. He held up his hands. "Up?"

Tanner was ecstatic. He gladly picked up the small creature up, marveling at how tiny he was and the way he fit on his hip. "Daddy hold Luca good." The boy commented and nuzzled against his neck.

It was a werewolf thing, Tanner assumed. But it felt warm. He felt a sort of inner glow at the gesture--was this a paternal instinct? Tanner hoped it was. "His 'friends' will be out front." Kai told him. "The other werewolves he was grouped with."

"Aren't they savage?" Tanner was worried about the safety of his new baby boy. The thought of anyone putting a mere scratch on him made Tanner utterly furious.

"Untamed," corrected Kai. "Savage is a lazy term for breeders who don't want to put in the effort and would rather make a quick buck. But a few are always snuck into a shipment. They always keep after their own however. Luca always another wolf checking in on him."

"Luca friend Marco!" The boy chirped. "Go see Marco now Daddy?"

"Sure cupcake."

The pet names came so easily to him. And yet they all fit the little werewolf perfectly. "Kai come?"

"Kai has to go back to work. But you're in good hands."

"Luca with Daddy now." The boy agreed with a nod. He nuzzled against Tanner again.

They went back onto the floor where Griffin was looking between the tri-set of polars and quad-set of jaguars. "Which do you--who is that?" Griffin's eyes zeroed in on the boy on his hip.

The boy gleefully replied for Tanner. "Luca with new Daddy now!"

"Daddy?" Echoed Griffin. He smirked at his friend. "You big softie. I knew it."

"Bullshit," snorted Tanner and the boy inhaled sharply, leaning away from his new Daddy. "What's wrong Pumpkin?"

"New Daddy says meanie word!" He sounded absolutely devastated, his golden eyes welding with tears. "Meanie, meanie bad word!"

Tanner wished he could take it all back. How had he forgotten to watch his language? Luca shouldn't have heard any curse words--especially from Daddy! "I'm so sorry Pumpkin!" Tanner cried. "Daddy will never say those words ever again."

The boy sniffled and big tear fell down his rosy cheeks. "Pwomise Luca?"

"Yes sweetheart. Daddy promises."

Griffin watched the entire thing in amazement. Tanner wasn't usually the type one would picture for this kind of thing. He didn't have the fatherly look to him--although with the concerned expression and small kid in his arms, he certainly currently did. The boy was cute, Griffin knew. And the way he spoke was an equal mix of obnoxious and adorable that Griffin wasn't sure about. It was clear that Tanner didn't mind however as he cooed and wiped away the tears with the pad of his thumb. "That other Daddy?" the boy sniffled pointing a tiny finger at Griffin.

Griffin immediately laughed and the boy gave him a hurt look. "No laugh at Luca!"

"I'm not laughing at you," he said quickly as his friend gave him a murderous look. Vampires, due to their age and immortality, connected almost immediately with things they liked. Usually their interests were fleeting--a lifetime or two--but Griffin could tell that Tanner had stumbled upon something real. "But I definitely not with your Daddy."

"Daddy perfect!" Luca cried sounding confused. "Be other Daddy now?"

"Sorry kid. I've got my own man at home."

"Other Daddy not with Daddy?" Luca asked looking at Tanner.

Tanner smiled at his simple confusion. "That's Uncle Griffin." Tanner decided quickly. "He's with Uncle Raegan."

"Oh." Luca's expression lacked interest in Griffin immediately. "Luca say bye to Griff now. Bye bye."

"It's not bye-bye yet pumpkin. Daddy rode with Uncle Griffin. We have to drive back to Daddy's work with him."

"Uncle Griff come now!" The boy demanded, clearly opposed to having wait for the vampire to make his decision.

"Hey now--don't be rude," Tanner scolded.

Luca frowned at his tone and pressed close. "Luca so sorry to Daddy! Luca say nice nice things. Uncle Griff come now please."

"That's a good try pumpkin but you don't rush someone--we have plenty of time."

Luca began to cry. "What Daddy do if gets bored with Luca? Give Luca back to Kai? Luca wanna go home with Daddy!" the boy wailed pitifully.

"Sweetheart no! Daddy won't get bored with you! He's excited to play with you!"

"Pwomise?" Luca sniffled. "Luca love Daddy already."

Tanner's heart was reduced to a pile of mush. "Daddy loves Luca already. Wanna go say bye to your friends now?"

"Luca is ready." The boy agreed.
