There wasn't chemistry between Sia and Fred only, things between Jena and Nick were getting heated up. Once,they were talking on Skype when Nick blurted "Jena I wanna kiss you. Kiss away the pain. Kiss away memories of Albert"
She hadn't expected that so she excused herself shyly and walked to Fred's room like the crybaby she'd always been."Jen there's a thing between both of you.Just take it slow" Fred advised.
She walked slowly back to her room and before she could say anything,Nick apologized for his abrupt statement.Soon,they were saying their good nights, talk about a weird night.
Nick woke the next day feeling weird. It was just one of those cloudy days.He didn't go for practice but just watched Netflix all day. He couldn't help but think of the previous night,he'd abruptly told Jena he liked her.He couldn't forget how Albert had looked at her,paradoxically with despise and longing.Nick couldn't suppress the need to be there for Jena all the time, hold her in his arms, kiss her wrinkle-free forehead, tuck away stray strands of hair from her pony tail,listen to her talk on and on,watch her make jokes and sometimes laugh alone, listen to sad music and switch to her melancholic mood.He knew she was still hurting.She lived,laughed and seemed fine yet she was holding herself back and wouldn't let him in enough. He'll wait for her to come around.He spent so much time thinking when suddenly his mum yelled, "Nicholas launch is set".Just on cue his phone rang.He picked on the third ring.
"Nicky it's Jena"
"Yh,who else calls me Nicky"
She laughed slightly and got to business."Can we meet? I'm in your neighborhood.Not far from your place"
"Sure be there in five "
He gave some clumsy excuse for not being able to stay for lunch and left.Jena was casually dressed in grey sweats and a T-shirt.
"Hey handsome "she flirted jokingly
"Hey sister"Nick teased in return.
Jena fidgeted for a bit and told Nick she as well as her siblings would be leaving for a visit to one of her dad's houses but promised to return soon.Nick was clearly disappointed but Jena pulled him into a hug meant to console him but the heat,fire,electricity which surged through them caused them to part embarrassingly.They talked for a bit and Jena returned.
Jena slept through out the journey the next day. Once she arrived,she called Nick and told him how nice Texas was. Neither of them voiced out how painful being apart was. They spoke all the time, video chatted, sent lots LG pictures and as usual, Jena filled poor Nicholas' gallery.
Meanwhile, Sia and Fred seemed to grow more in love daily.
