Rachel's POV
"Batman is so much better."
"No superman is."
"I have to agree with Rachel, batman is better."
"Your only saying that because she's your girlfriend."
I choke on my coke as Jason quickly denies it, Mackenzie laughs, James smirks and Meghan pats my back.
"We went on one date, and it was pretty much ruined by my grandma," Jason says and I laugh nudging him in the side.
"Come on that was funny, you have to admit it." He shakes his head in amusement.
"Wait, you didn't ask her?" Dylan asks and Jason puts his index finger to his mouth, "you little pussy ask her," Amanda smacks Dylan's arm as Jason groans throwing his head back.
"Ask me what?" I ask and Dylan opens his mouth just to be sucker punched in the stomach as everyone glares at him. I furrow my eyebrows looking at everyone, "I'm so confused somebody tell me something."
"You look pretty today," Meghan smiles and touches a piece of my brown hair.
"I love your outfit," Amanda includes and I furrow my eyebrows at them
"We need to go boot shopping, with the snow warnings coming soon we're going to need to get some cute boots, what do you say we go tomorrow?"
We all nod, "wait why don't we go today?" I ask.
"Because J-"
"Because the boys," Meghan interrupts, "have a game tonight, and we want to go watch them. It's going to be an amazing game I think."
"Really amazing," Dylan says and nods his head while Amanda pushes him. "Why am I the one getting beat up?" he asks his jaw dropping.
"Because your beatable," Meghan says and slaps his arm.
I laugh and take a bite of my salad.

"Alright bye Jason," I say and he kisses my cheek.
"See you at the game," he smiles I nod and walk into the house.
"Hey mom," I call and jog up the stairs, she shouts a hi back and I run up to my room door closing it behind me.
I have one hour to get ready for the football game, opening my closet I decide to go for something warmer with the snow warnings and everything. I grab my long sleeved blue PINK shirt with some black leggings. I the go into my closet to find my brown UGG boots I had from California to wear. Satisfied with my outfit I go into my bathroom straightening the curls out of my hair.
I run a hand through my hair and leave my makeup the way it is, I pick my phone up off of its charger and head towards my bedroom door. I hear the doorbell ring and race down the stairs to beat Robert.
"Heading to the football game now, bye guys," I shout earning choruses of bye's back.
I swing the door open revealing Mackenzie, Amanda, and Meghan. They all smile at me, I smile back and we head out. The four of us walk down the sidewalk towards the football field. Reaching there we go onto the bleachers which are very crowded with people, luckily there are spots in the front.
"Out of all the spots why would this be the only empty place?" I ask and all three of them visibly smirk at each other before shrugging at me.
I furrow my eyebrows but shake it off as the football players are announced, we cheer for the guys when they get called. "So Rach I was thinking, Amanda and Meghan don't want to do it but I was thinking about trying out for cheerleading. Try out with me?" she asks and I nod with a smile.
"Yea that should be fun."
She smiles and nods, both of us then go back to watching the game, even though I had no clue on what to do I cheered whenever our side did. Amanda takes our orders for drinks before standing up jogging over to the concession stand. I watch intently seeing a guy trying to steal the ball from James, James passes it to Dylan which gets passed to Jason. He starts running down the field with everyone behind him as he touches the ball on the score part. Everyone stands up screaming cheers.
With the game over now Amanda comes back with our drinks, I cover my hands with my sleeves as she hands me a hot chocolate. I look back at the football team who are standing in front of the bleachers in a long line. Choruses of questions run through the bleachers amongst families, and anyone who is sitting near them.
"Rachel Waterman," my name gets called and I look in the direction seeing Jason with a bouquet of pink roses in his hand. I hand Mackenzie my hot chocolate as I smile at him. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
Lots of people shout say yes, standing up I cover my mouth with my still covered hand before nodding. I run off the bleachers and he hugs me. I wrap my arms around his neck and he picks me up, I wrap my legs around his waist. People cheer all around us but its as if I can't hear all of it.
With my feet back on the ground I keep my arms wrapped around his neck and his around me waist, he grins at me. "Oh for gods sake just kiss me already," I say and right after his lips meet mine.
Butterflies erupt in my stomach as our lips move in sync with each other, the world and everything surrounding us has disappeared. He pulls me closer and it's then that I realize we have an audience. Luckily Robert and my mom aren't here, I want to save the interrogation for later. I pull away as he connects his forehead with mine, I smile and look down before taking a step back from him.
The girls squeal and come trampling down the bleachers attacking me in big hugs. I laugh, trying to get them to let go considering their crushing my arms to my side. They finally step back and then start talking inaudible words that I simply smile at. People load off the bleachers some stopping to smile at me or say congratulations. Some people just wave at me and let out a little whoop of cheer.
Mackenzie hands me my hot chocolate and then they excuse themselves to go and congratulate our friends on their win. I take that chance to see Jason again before someone stops me for another conversation. Walking up behind Jason as he discusses something with his coach I tap his shoulder. He turns around and smiles when he see's me.
"Hey," he says loudly over the loud voices of other people.
His coach smiles and gives me a thumbs up before walking away, I chuckle and avert my eyes back to Jason. "When do you get to leave?" I ask as we walk away from the crowd.
"Anytime, are you ready to go?" he asks and I nod taking a sip of my drink.
He nods with a smile, "alright stay right here I'm going to go and get my duffel bag and then we can leave alright?"
I nod planting my feet on the ground, he chuckles and pecks my lips before jogging off. I wait patiently waving at people who wave at me. Turned towards the exit I jump when two arms snake around my waist. I interlace Jason and I's hand as we walk out of the stadium. We walk towards green street in a comfortable silence.
Jason walks me up to my porch and I turn towards him, "thanks for walking me home," I say and he smiles.
"Of course, I'll see you tomorrow at school alright?" he asks giving my hand a light squeeze.
"Aren't we walking together?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows while cocking my head to the side.
"I have to do something for my mom in the morning, so I'll just meet you at our regular group me spot."
I nod with a smile, he kisses me goodnight before letting go of my hand, I wave before opening the house door. The house is dark indicating that my grandparents, Mom, and Robert all went to sleep. I walk up to my room opening the door and flicking the light on. I quietly shut my door and fall back on my bed.
Best game ever.
