Chapter 2 - Awkward

Start from the beginning

"Looking for Organic Chemistry too?" His voice was deep and very alluring. Its appeal had only increased my nerves, as I anticipated to see who it had come from. I turned around vastly, only to become completely gobsmacked. I was expecting someone good looking, but I was far from prepared for this.

He was about half a foot taller than me, making him about six feet. He had tanned skin, short dirty blonde hair with a bit of stubble growing around his ruggedly handsome jaw line. He had the most stunning model-like features, and what drew me in the most were his enthralling bright sapphire coloured eyes, which just about seemed to be glowing. I couldn't help but stare, trying not to let my jaw drop to the ground in disbelief. My eyes couldn't help but scan his body from head to toe. He was wearing dark-grey ripped fitted jeans, a black leather jacket, and black high top Nike's.

The entire world around me seemed to have stopped, and he was the only thing in my vision. I was mesmerised. It was like something out of a movie. If I wasn't wrong, he was undoubtedly, most unquestionably, the most stunning man that I had ever seen in my entire life...

"You ok?" I heard him ask, pulling me from my daydream state, this time standing much closer than before. I must have looked like a complete idiot standing there, frozen, drooling over him.

The most appealing cologne I think I'd ever smelt before filled my nose, which made me realise that he was now only just mere inches from my face, looking down at me with the most gorgeous smirk planted across his perfect lips. Man, I felt like such an idiot. Like a silly little high school girl with a silly little crush. These kinds of moments were what convinced me to believe in love at first sight.

"I, err, sorry, I..." I stuttered before he cut me off, feeling my face turn bright red. It aggravated me like nothing else at how immature I was acting, so intimidated and awkward. I mean I was twenty years old, not freaking ten!

"Yeah, I tend to have that effect on girls." He said with the cockiest grin, almost making me burst into hysterical laughter. Who the heck did he think he was having that much confidence?!

"So, are we going in or what?" Ok, now this was just getting embarrassing. I was literally frozen, and it was only making his ego grow larger by the minute.

"Yeah, um, sorry, just first day nerves, you know?" I replied, eyes darting to the floor, trying not to sound so pathetic. He smiled at me making me melt inside and gain my confidence back if just for a millisecond, before I turned around only to...

Ouch!

Confidence abolished – I had awkwardly slammed my forehead right into the hard door. I was that mesmerised that I somehow thought that the door had magically opened itself. Damn it!

I winced in pain and efficiently pushed the door open, discretely racing in as fast as I could, finding the closest seat possible to save me from myself-inflicted embarrassment. I thought that I was finally safe, until I was completely taken by surprise when he sat next to me. I'd expected that he would have run as fast and as far away from me as possible after my stupid little immature school girl facade.

"I'm Will by the way." He pointed out, without looking at me and concentrating on taking out his note pad and pen from his bag. I think he was pretending that he didn't see me slam into the door out of courtesy and to save me from even more embarrassment.

That was quite nice of him...

I think I was staring again when he stopped what he was doing to turn his head and glance at me from side on. This startled me, and a small smile began to form on his lips. I must have looked like a complete idiot, but this guy had an effect on me like no one else had in a very long time, it was ridiculous!
