one last breath

i hold you tightly now

and through the tears i cry

i remember the memories

as i now say goodbye

the years we had together

so strong, loving and true

the future forever promised

when we said, "I do"

but years passed quickly by

years that were the best

and now as i hold you

you say goodbye,

with one last breath
